    What started as revenge...

This is my first time reading a Michelle St. James book and I loved it. I am a fan of mob stories and was not disappointed with Ruthless. Nico is out to avenge the death of his parents. He needs the proof (video) and he is going to get it. Although he knows by kidnapping the killers daughter, Angelica is against the mobs laws, he will stop at nothing to reveal the truth. Angelica has no idea what is in store for her one night while closing up the coffee shop she works at. Kidnapped and confused by why, she learns things about her father she never thought possible. Also, while captive, she learns things about and falls for her captivator Nico Vitale. He comes off ruthless and scary, but deep down he has the biggest heart. As the new mob boss to the Vitale family, Nico has changed the way his mob family operates. Many unhappy with the changes are eager to eliminate Nico. As danger and threats increase, so does Nico and Angelica's connection. Angelica is no longer Nico's prisoner, but the woman he has fallen for and has the need to protect. Angelica is torn by her feelings for Nico and her father, and what she believes to be the truth. Who will she believe and protect her in the end? Can Nico and Angelica have a future? This story was filled with suspense, loyalty, truth, revenge, and love. Well written Michelle St. James. I loved it so much that I went and grabbed book 2 and 3 immediately.

I didn't want it to end

No, No, No, No, No I Need More, More, More. Innocence lost, no way to know what the truth is. Angelica is held hostage by a ruthless mob boss, but what is the real threat to her- him, things she does not know or her feelings. This story is an action packed romance thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. With plenty of lies to unfold, truths to be told, etc etc it's just great. Steam factor is high. An undeniable attraction that's wrong, but so right. The passion comes off the page. An incomplete ending leaves me screaming for book two.

    Review: Mob Boss #1: Ruthless

Ruthless by Michelle St. James is the first book in her Mob Boss series. It is a great twist to the usual Mob type book I've read in that it deals with different families within the overall "Syndicate". Well-paced with great characters this story will keep you turning the pages. The chemistry between Angelica and Nico was explosive, despite her best efforts to deny the attraction. The story is interesting and twisty without being overly done. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these two and cannot wait to clear my reading schedule and cram the next couple of books in. Oh Angelica and Nico - what a pair - I absolutely loved this story and will DEFINITELY be reading the rest of the series!

Will love win over revenge? - 5+ stars

A Review of Ruthless: Mob Boss, Book 1 by Michelle St. James Will love win over revenge? - 5+ stars This is my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We meet Angelica as she is running errands, before going to work slinging coffee. She is feeling somewhat discouraged about her life and where it's headed. She finished college two years ago, but hasn't done anything with her degree or even figured out what she wants to do with her life. "But all of that changes the night she’s kidnapped. Thrown into a windowless room, Angelica is positive there’s been some kind of mistake — until she meets Nico Vitale. Gorgeous and frightening, Nico became the boss of New York City’s Vitale crime family after the execution style murder of his parents two years earlier. Since then he’s turned the old-school mob into a sleek, modern army of ruthless men who understand that physical violence — while always an option — isn’t the only way to get what you want." The first time she finally meets Nico, there is a strong connection between the two of them. He thinks she knows all about her father and finds it hard to believe she has been living in ignorance all of her life. When her father refuses to come forward, after learning that Nico has her, he starts to realize that he doesn't want to hurt her in order to get to her father. The two of them can't seem to keep their hands off each other and even though she tries to deny it, her feelings for him quickly grow. When his headquarters is breached, he ends up taking Angelica on the run with him, until he can find out what is going on and get to the bottom of it. They both grow closer together, but will she be able to live with the consequences of his actions? I loved the way the characters were well defined and the action was pretty much non-stop. Luckily enough, I know there are two more books in this series, so I have hopes that we will get to see more of the chemistry between these two. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

Story is good, interesting, worth looking forward to what happens next, but too much of description.
