    Ruthless Colin and Feisty Jean

Colin's scheme to hide Jean's true parentage from her in hopes of getting part of her inheritance is doomed from the start. Jean and Colin's attraction to each other and his innate protectiveness bring complications to his plotting. I liked their interactions and totally enjoyed Jean's ability to stand up for herself and take actions against themen trying to harm her. Although Colin rescued her several times, she wasn't giving up without a fight. This was a great start to this series and I am looking forward to reading bout Jean's brother in the series.

    Great Read.

I received a copy of this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This story is about Walter Farrell's body guard, Colin. Mr Farrell always promised to take care of Colin, but when Walter died Colin did not receive anything! Colin was livid, but he wouldn't let anyone know that, he had a plan and it involved Walter's unknown daughter, Jean. When Colin sought out Jean he wasn't expecting to end up falling for her the way he did, and clearly the feelings were mutual. This ruined his plan to get revenge and scam the money away from her. From the minute he met Jean he felt the need to protect her and that was no small feat as someone wanted her dead and wouldn't stop trying until the deed was done. As far as Colin was concerned that was not going to happen! As usual Mallory Crowe has written another amazing novel. This story has suspense, excitement, love and lust. Mallory keeps us interested throughout the whole book, always making the reader want to know more. It is hard to put this book down. Her characters are well developed, passionate and believable. Her writing is easy to visualize and comprehend, which makes this book enjoyable to read. We are also introduced to some new characters, who I know will lead to more novels in the future. Great read with a perfect ending.

    A Great Read

*** Received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review *** This is another great start to a new series by Mallory Crowe and looking forward to reading it. This story is about The family inheritance, Jean and Colin. Colin an ex-employee of the late Farell and full of revenge toward the entire Farell crew. Jean is a regular small town girl living paycheck to paycheck from her waitress job. A stranger approaches her with a deal of a lifetime which put her in many awkward predicament. The storyline flowed well and I really enjoyed the scenes between the two of them as they got more and more involved in every very intense action. I am looking forward to reading more from this great author.

    Ruthless a gripping read!

This is the fourth book I have read by Mallory Crowe and I find she just gets better and better. This is a standalone book, the first in a new series (with a linking character, Colin Carter) from Mallory's previous series about the Devereaux family. Well rounded characters, suspense and romance - what's not to love? Kudos to Mallory for including an epilogue, I do like to get a glimpse of characters I feel invested in, a year or so down the line! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

    4.5 Stars

Ruthless is a romantic suspense/drama. Jean and Colin are likable characters. They deserved every bit of happiness they could find. I've never read a book with anything similar to the premise of Ruthless. That made for a wonderful change of pace. I never thought of Colin as a bad guy because he is upfront with Jean concerning his intentions. While he did lie to her, he always admitted what he was doing. There are enough twists and turns to keep the story interesting from beginning to end. The story is well-written and flows smoothly. I had one big problem with the story: Katherine didn't get what she deserved. It is never mentioned what happened to her but from the rest of the story, I can imagine Jean is still enabling her. I was baffled by the phone call between Jean & Robert at the end of the story. Without writing spoilers, I would have thought he was expecting her call. This is my first book by Mallory Crowe. It won't be my last. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the Fractured Farrells Series. I definitely recommend reading Ruthless. 4.5 Stars
