  • Great suspense

I've been a long time fan of Tina Radcliffe's but this is the first romantic suspense I've read from the author. Wow, it was so much fun and I want her to keep writing more of these adrenaline-filled, fast-paced action books! The suspense component was quite well done and I had a difficult time trying to figure out who the mastermind was. The romance between Mac and Gabe was just enough and not overwhelming. Mac and Gabe were easy to get to know and their personalities felt complete, even with the shorter length of the Love Inspired book and while dodging tons of bullets and crashing vehicles. Gabe was a different kind of CIA hero - more nerdy, more analyst mindset than action in the field, and a complete rule follower. I loved their interactions and enjoyed their second-chance romance. I also loved getting to know Gabe's older brother Ben. Hopefully the next book will be about him.... I received the book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

  • Intriguing Suspense

I have read many of Radcliffe's books and enjoyed them all. I feel she's a great author with believable characters and wonderful story lines that keep the reader engaged throughout. This time she has switched genres and written a suspense story. It's no surprise that I found it a page turner! It's also obvious that she has done thorough research because everything regarding the CIA, it's operations and other law enforcement tactics ring true. "Mac" has been injured on a CIA operation and she's struggling with rehabilitation and the remorse of the loss of her partner. She's also positive that she's being stalked by the killer, but she knows how to disappear. However, her former boyfriend, Gabe knows how to find her as he's also in the CIA. When he finds her, now the two of them are in the killer's sights! There is a lot of action and it's almost breathtaking! I especially enjoyed Gabe's brother, Ben, and hope he gets a story sometime! He was awesome! There is a lot of speculation until the very end as to who is perpetrating these crimes! I found it very exciting!

  • SABOTAGED MISSION by Tina Radcliff

SABOTAGED MISSION by Tina Radcliff is the fabulously written, super exciting story of CIA operative MacKenzie “Mac” Sharp and CIA officer Gabe Denton as they try to stay alive, find out who is trying to kill Mac, find who is trying to frame Mac for a major crime and why, and maybe - just maybe - figure out if their past romance has a second chance. Mac was seriously injured and her partner presumed dead while on a CIA mission. She’s on medical leave and starting physical therapy after major surgery to repair her leg when someone killed her guard and tried to finish her off – again. After the CIA wasn’t able to protect her, Mac found it in her best interest to go off-grid for a while as she heals and tries to figure things out. Winston, her bulldog, has her back and he’s all the company she needs. Gabe and Mac once were a couple. When Mac’s parents were killed in an Embassy bombing when she was 15, she learned the hard way how hard it was to recovery when loved ones were snatched away. With their hazard occupations, it was her idea to break it off with Gabe five years ago feeling it better to cut the ties than to have to suffer that loss again. Gabe had been working hard within the CIA and was just about to be promoted to The Farm, a highly regarded position, one he wanted and one his father might finally approve of. It would get him out of the field and be more of the people person he really was. However, when he got a phone call from CIA Senior Officer Todd Shipman saying he wanted Mac found and protected, Gabe knew without a second thought that he would throw everything he had into completing his assignment both for the respect of his superior and his love for Mac. Using the information he knew about Mac and his CIA connections, he was able to figure out where Mac was hold up. To say she wasn’t happy to see him was an understatement, but she knew if he had been able to find her others could as well. When she was told Shipman was behind finding her and bringing her back to Denver, she agreed to go back with him. After all, Todd was her father’s best friend and his family took her in after the death of the parents. He’s one of the few people she feels she can trust. If Mac thought she had been completely off the radar, having Gabe’s car blown up in the driveway just as they were able to get into it, proved she wasn’t. Can they out run and out maneuver whoever is determined to kill them? Gabe’s brother, Ben, owner of Denton Security and Investigations, flies in to help them figure out who was trying to framing Mac, what really happened to the CIA agent that Mac feels responsible for dying, who was behind the bank job and where is the money. However, the brother’s main mission is to keep Mac safe. With the loss of more than one vehicle, an injury that requires them to drive to Denver instead of flying. sleepless nights, multiple assaults from snipers, tracking devices, dead bodies lying in their wake, exploding bombs, and almost hit by a train, their trip to Denver is long and dangerous and means they must depend on each other to make it there alive. In the process, will the feelings from past years grow from the embers that once was? “You can’t live your life worried that people are going to die. They are. This world is only a stop on the way to forever. People die. God is our only hope.” Will Gabe’s words finally get through to Mac? Will they release her to give them a chance as a couple? Before they can do that, they need to clear Mac’s name, solve the mystery and catch whoever is out to get them. Can they do it? SABOTAGED MISSION is the fast paced, edge of your seat read that you can’t help but read in one sitting. The excitement of the mystery and danger around every corner will compel you to turn the pages as your heart opens up to Mac for all the heartache and struggles she’s been through and to Gabe for his positive, never give up attitude. Plus you won’t be able to help yourself but to fall in love with one smart and faithful bulldog. Tina Radcliff has done it again! She written a fabulous second chance romance story woven with a thread of faith that has good doing battle with evil, forgiveness (of others and oneself) and shows how our faith is sometimes tested and the joy of having it restored. Most definitely FIVE STAR reading! I highly recommend SAVOTAGED MISSION to anyone that loves a clean, exhilarating and inspirational story.

  • Great Suspense!

After reading this book, I have these questions for author Tina Radcliffe. "What took you so long? Why haven't you tried romantic suspense before?" I've been a fan of her contemporary romances for several years and she's now proven that she can write suspense! Sabotaged Mission is an action-driven, danger-filled story that kept me turning the pages for answers. Who wants MacKenzie Sharp dead, and how is she going to get out alive? Is Gabe Denton the only person she can trust? Sabotaged Mission reminds me of the classic movies that I've always loved, with its intriguing characters, second-chance romance, and non-stop danger and action involving the CIA. Radcliffe paints a vivid picture of the special chemistry that still exists between Mac and Gabe, with witty banter that is hilarious to read and touching moments of "what ifs"?" A lovable bulldog named Winston, Gabe's brother Ben, and Mac's special mentor are the perfect additions to this exciting tale. Hats off to the author! I received a complimentary copy of this book but there was no obligation for a positive review. I am voluntarily sharing my thoughts.
