  • Steamy, emotional, introspective & deep

Sometimes books surprise you. I must admit that this book did exactly that to me and in the very best way possible. Maybe you'll look at this book and think it will be steamy and emotional. And yeah, you'd be right. Or maybe you'll look at this book and think that maybe this would be a book that will push at your boundaries a bit or make you feel uncomfortable. And yeah, that is certainly a possibility. But what you might not expect from just looking at this book is that it is introspective and deep. While this book opens itself up to deliver all the angst, heat, feels and swoon that you are yearning for, it also lets you take a close-up look at its heart and soul and what you will find there is beautiful and poignant, painful and sweet and as simple as it is complex. Aiden and Elijah's second chance story is slow burning. Honestly, sometimes it feels almost excruciatingly so, but I also felt that this made sense with the story being told. It is a journey and a struggle with no easy answers or instantaneous solutions and I am so incredibly grateful that I was privileged enough to go on it with them. This is my independent, impartial review.

  • A divine reading experience

Reading Saint feels like coming home. I can read a thousand books but whenever I pick a Sierra Simone book, I feel like- yes, this is it. This is what I was missing and i didn't even know I was missing. Her words are warm and destructive and exciting and arousing and everything. What can you expect from the story of a millionaire turned monk and his ex lover who go to a soul searching tour through European churches? Steam. Yes definitely. Aiden and Elijah is definitely the epitome of dirty, kinky, forbidden and sensual deliciousness. And the sex scenes were some kind of beautiful overwhelming experience that only Sierra Simone can pull off. Angst. Yes. So much angst. The doubts, the heartbreak, the guilt, the hunger, the needs and so much feelings that I was crawling out of my skin. But it was also a profound learning experience. Religion. Love. Morality. Sex. Mental health. I stopped and contemplated and absorbed and got enriched. And that is something unique about Sierra Simone. ( I reviewed an early copy voluntarily)

  • The complicated Mess you will Love

We start with book with Aiden Bell having run away to become a Monk with no real explanation while Elijah was left in the dark with his own thoughts and worries about what happened. After several years hiding away Aiden is still struggling and when Elijah comes to tell him he is going to move on and get married, it all started to crash down on him. This series that the amazing Sierra Simone has brought to life really makes you dive into the battle of theology and the human mind & spirit. Saint will bring in even more battles that the prior two novels did. Here you have the battle of mental health and the stigmas of religion and non-heterosexuality. The fact that Sierra Simone can write such thought provoking, eloquent and sexy stories seems like an impossibility, yet here it is. Reading this series has really brought up so many deep thoughts about humanity and evolution yet sparks a desire within my soul for something not fully comprehended. If you haven't read Priest or Sinner yet, you can still read this one but let me tell you, the build up to understanding these brothers comes along so well when you have read them all.

  • When is a monk, not a monk??

Saint is the third book in the ‘Priest’ series by Sierra Simone. It follows the three Bell brothers (Tyler) book#1Priest, (Sean) book#2 Sinner, and now Aiden in book#3. Aiden is the youngest and most troubled of the three brothers. His story is filled with angst and heartache as well as love and torment. This story is like a double-edged sword, cutting through secular and religious life with equal vigor. Aiden was once a wealthy, care-free millionaire but he gave it all up -and the love of his life- five years ago to become a monk. Now, he’s on the brink of taking his solemn vows when Elijah walks back into his life. Forced into spending time together, it’s not long before old feelings resurface and Aiden has to make a choice. Desire to be good for God or the man he once loved. But, it’s not as simple as all that, as Aiden has demons chasing him too, which have caused his mental illness. It’s a subject that’s hard to read about, but even more challenging to write. Sierra dealt with it with supreme kindness and understanding. There’s a whole lot more to the story than that, so much more. Beautiful scenes, gorgeous places and an epic love story unfolding through a three week European tour of monasteries.

  • A definite page turner!!

Couldn’t wait to get my hands on Aiden Bell, this tortured monk who gave up everything to live a cloistered life. Aiden and Elijah are pure fire, their chemistry burns hot, so prepare yourselves. Much more than romance, this story brings depth to the characters and raises awareness to real life issues. Sierra Simone’s writing is articulate and stylish, it never fails to drawl on your every emotion.
