This is a second chance romance unlike any other

This is a second chance romance unlike any other I've read! Callie has been separated from her husband for over a year due to his affairs (and honestly his belief that they are no big deal JERK) but is finally finalizing her divorce. With a family that has pressured her into "marrying the right man" for the wrong reasons and enforce her to show a "proper image" she can't take the strain any more. She's intent to become her own woman and find her own happiness, in herself. The unplanned happiness? The sudden;u supportive and understanding Cash, her ex-husband's best friend. They've all been friends for year but Cash seems to want to develop feelings for Callie now that she's no longer with Beau. Cash has a hard time dealing with his emotions for Callie. For one, he's had them for her for years, before she married Beau. But he felt it was his duty to bury those feelings and simply think of her as a friend. But after years of seeing Beau's treatment of her and her final axe to their marriage, Cash now has the ability to spend some more one on one time with her. Finding the woman she's become helps to grow those feelings into less friendly and more romantic ways. A chance night, and the two of them finally cave to their feelings only to discover the insane chemistry and ease with which they flow. There's more to this than just a chance at finally getting the girl. Callie is trying to become her own woman and open her own business much to the dislike of her family. I did not like her family, or her ex-husband, at ALL. Elitist high-brow snots who spoke down to her at every turn; ooh I was rooting for Callie to speak up and out the whole book! And having to hide her relationship with Cash, that's going to put strain on any couple. A fun romance read that surprised me and had me hoping for the best!

    Very sweet and romantic book

As I began reading this book I realised that it was familiar and had probably read it before. Turns out Screwed was a part of the Sutherlands anthology. I found this book to be very romantic and a tiny bit heartbreaking but I loved that the side characters involved could rise above the difficult situation and focus on the happiness of others. This is rare because most of the antagonists are either paid off or scared off by other means. But forgiveness and acknowledging one's weakness is not the usual MO. And this is what I take away with me from this book. I received an Advanced Reviewers Copy from #NetGalley for voluntary review consideration

    Sizzling Hot

Kelly Jamison writes with heart and sizzling heat and I always devour everything she writes. I enjoyed reading SCREWED it is a feel good story with emotion. The characters are entertaining and easy to connect with and the story is sweet and sexy. Callie is rediscovering herself after divorcing her cheating husband. She has grown up in a family with lots of money and their only concern is what others think. Now that she is divorced, Callie is questioning everything about her life. She is tired of pleasing her parents in spite of herself and she is slowly figuring out who she is and what she wants. Along the way, Callie finds herself attracted to Cash, her ex’s best friend. Cash is a good guy who grew up poor but is now rich and successful. He has always admired Callie and now that she is divorced, he can’t seem to stop himself from falling for her. Even though Callie’s husband cheated in her, Cash knows he should stay away from her. I love the way Cash treats Callie. He is always there for her and will do anything to make her happy. He is protective, warm and loving and I love his sexy Texas drawl. Callie and Cash are both struggling with their feelings for each other. They are easy to like and their biggest flaw is trying to please everyone else but themselves. They have to learn to make themselves happy without feeling guilty and worried about hurting others.

    Sweet Second Chance at Love

There is not much to say about Screwed. It is sweet romance about two friends finding love together after one of them goes through a bitter divorce. The book is surprisingly low on drama considering the storyline of Chase being best friends and business partners with Callie's ex. Callie is a sweet young woman who deserved better than the garbage Beau (her ex) put her through. And Chase is such a good guy that I'm pretty sure if he wasn't business partners with Beau he would have moved on from the friendship after what Beau did to Callie. Chase and Callie were clearly meant to be together and it was a fun time watching them move from friends to a romantic relationship. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance. I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

    Sizzling!!!

4.5-Stars This story features Cash and Callie. Two people who were maybe meant to be together years ago and finally have the chance to find that out now. He's her ex-husband's best friend and difficult choices need to be made. Someone will get hurt. This is an SUPER sexy story with great characters. I love the excitement at the end. Well deserved!
