  • A Must-Read!

The Sea of Ruin is nothing short of amazing. The author's style is very engaging and I was completely captured by this book from the beginning! Pam Godwin didn't sugarcoat any scene and that's what I like about her writing. She wrote the way she envisions them. Cringing and crying out in pain are all something this book makes you want to do while reading it. But, of course, there's also light moments wherein witty banter exchanges between characters. Sea of Ruin is not your ordinary pirate story, it goes beyond just raiding ships and finding treasures. And the romantic entanglement of characters will keep you hot and heavy. Certainly, no great book is complete without conflict and villains. This book definitely has them and surprised me several times. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. True to form of a dark historical pirate romance the author didn't disappoint. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the genre. This is a must-read!

  • Romantic Pirate Adventure!

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve read a historical romance and I wasn’t sure this was what I was in the mood for. But did this story take me by surprise and give me exactly what I wanted. Bennett Sharp is a feisty tomboy, daughter of a notorious pirate and independent as heck. Priest is a sweet talking ladies’ man who’s the pirate that won Bennett’s heart and then broke it. I loved him...hated him...loved him...he’s a gorgeous beast...what more can I say? Their chemistry sizzled off the pages. Lord Ashley is a serious, strategic pirate hunter who’s taking on capturing as many as he can after a successful wartime career. He’s all proper and noble born. Bennett is just the woman who can poke a hole into that regal veneer and get a rise out of him. Lots of adventure, action, twists and angst with the fighting of feelings and pushing the temptation to level one hundred. Whoa...it’s steamy. Definitely kept me entertained and flipping those pages.

  • Rated 4.5 Stars

Sea of Ruin was action packed, smoking hot and amazing. It's also brutal and emotional. I went through so many emotions with this book, most of them were bloodthirsty. I was wholly invested from beginning to end in these characters lives and their journey. I loved it and highly recommend it.

  • Pillaging the high seas never looked so good!!

Get ready for a tale as tumultuous as the ocean, and adventures that rival the currents. Bennett Sharp has craved a life that embodies adventures at sea. With an underlying family history that is full of love and loss, Bennett finds herself stepping into the role of pirate on her very own ship. With her father’s legacy weighing on her shoulders, Bennett finds the strength to command her crew on adventures that can only be described as legendary. With that infamy comes the knowledge that Bennett must always stay one move ahead of her adversaries, no matter the cost. As the high seas sound their siren’s call, Bennett finds herself avoiding Priest Farrell the King of Libertines. This scoundrel has earned his own reputation on the seas and is determined to cross paths with Bennett once more. To add to the adventures, Bennett comes face to face with an adversary that will turn her life upside down. Lord Ashley Cutler has earned his status in the British Royal Navy as commodore and is currently hunting down pirates. This ruthless man shows no mercy and Bennett has sailed into Lord Cutler’s sights. This trio will find themselves embroiled in tale of tragedy, savagery, and darkness. A pirate’s life is never easy, but it is full of adventure. Will Bennett discover the secrets that will take her on one last remarkable adventure? Life on the high seas isn’t for everyone, and the journey that Bennett takes will be riddled with deception, adventure, and passion. As with any tale of pirates, the thrill of the hunt revolves around a treasure. Bennett’s quest will reveal a treasure far greater than any amount of gold. Sea of Ruin is EPIC!!! Let’s me start by saying I am not always inclined to read historical romance novels. When I saw Pam Godwin had decided to pen such a book, I didn’t hesitate to jump in head first!! What I discovered what an EPIC read that took me through the perils of life on the high seas. The plot that encompasses this book does not disappoint. It is gritty, soul wrenching, and unequivocally erotic!! Another confession…..it is a rarity that I EVER read a book more than once. Why? I tend to remember EVERYTHING contained in a story. So – I derive no pleasure from repeating a story. After gazing upon the last page of Sea of Ruin – I found myself immersed in wanting to feel the thrill of the adventure once more. So – I read it all over again! Then for thrills……I read it a third time. Seriously….this book is that GOOD!!! Add Sea of Ruin to your reader NOW!! Batten down the hatches and get ready for an epic thrill ride when you dive deep into the Sea of Ruin!!

  • Epic

Blow Me Down......I absolutely LOVED this book. It was an EPIC historical pirate romance that completely captured me and never let me go. Pam Godwin wrote a dark, brutal, passionate tale that was gut wrenching as much as it was an adventurous exotic swashbuckling saga. Bennett Sharp is a fierce heroine. The daughter of an infamous pirate and a British noblewoman, the sea is where her heart lies. She is loyal, strong, witty and sexually liberated. To be a woman pirate is no easy feat especially because of her past and who her father was. She commands her ship, her crew and her destiny. Priest Farrell is King of Libertines and he is scrumptious. He’s passionate, snarky, sexy and lives his life carefree until he meets Bennett. His devotion and love for her is of magnific proportions and only makes his sexier. Lord Ashley Cutler is the commodore of the HMS Blitz of the British Royal Navy and a pirate hunter. He is a confident, no show of emotion, regimented man who is also cunning and heartless. And did I mention he’s also sexy and mysterious!! There is so much to this saga. It is filled with many layers that all eventually come together. Does the past of Bennett, Priest and Ashley put them on a trajectory to all meet? Their journey is deep and compelling. The hunter, the captor and the rescuer all weave this story to heights of savagery, passion, darkness and love. Life on the high seas is not for the faint of heart and this author leaves no stone unturned in telling this tale. It’s grimy, gritty and at times, it’s a punch to the gut, but it is also filled with raw compassionate emotions that endears your heart. I recommend this book to lovers of romance no matter the genre. It’s filled with encompassing love, devotion and passion on the high seas. I loved every minute of this read and hated to see it end but at the same time but it filled my monotonous days with an invigorating, lively, heart wrenching sensual tale. A favorite of 2020 for sure❤️
