Sizzling Love Story With Some Tears

I've read several of Melissa Foster's books and tweeted to her how much I enjoyed them, fully expecting to get hit with a demand for a review. Didn't happen. Foster is a class act who puts her efforts into her books rather than harassing her readers. I was ready to roll when this book came along. I was not disappointed. What impressed me most was her character construction. Amy is someone I could easily not like at all because I'd be so jealous of how pretty and sweet she is. But Foster has so nicely drawn this character that she's irresistible, the kind of person you'd love to hate but instead end up wanting as your best friend. When her love of Tony runs into brick walls, the reader runs into them with her and hurts right along with her. I wanted to reach through the book and give her a hug. Tony is one of those gorgeous men you hope is a jerk. In Foster's hands, he's a nicely rounded character who is anything but a jerk or wish you could have him all to yourself. He belongs with Amy. It's impossible not to have your heart break a little when circumstances keep him from the tremendous love he has for her, and the world of hurt he goes through when a misunderstood past stands as a ghost between them, keeping them apart. He's accomplished, athletic, and no slouch when it comes to running his own business or riding a surfboard. Have mercy! The physical setting was also a treat to read, and the friendships amongst the characters was lots of fun--wish fulfillment friendships it's a pleasure to be part of. As a stand alone book, this was a delight to read. It's all working together in the best possible way. I'll be looking forward to other books in this series as they come up.

Fabulous Story of Love & Friendship

Received an ARC for an honest review. This was such a great story about love and friendship, Loved it. Such fun characters and the girls in this book really brought such a special, fun, and some craziness to this story. Amy Maples had been in love with Tony Black since she was six years old. Their families as well as several other families spent every summer in the cottages at Seaside. This summer they came together to celebrate a wedding and it was possibly the last summer for Amy because she had been offered a job that would take her to Australia for two years. What was she going to do, Tony and her had been best friends for so long but she just couldn't see herself with anyone but him. Tony was a famous surfer as well as a motivational speaker, he spends his time travelling either for competitions or speaking engagements, but every summer he returned to the cottages to spend time with everyone. Amy had to try to get Tony to see her in a different light to give them a chance. So with her friends help they devised a plan for seduction. But there are things that her friends don't know about and Tony and Amy wtill have to work through a past to get to the other side for a chance of love. Loved this story so much you laugh you cry and your heart swells with happiness in this story by Melissa Foster. Great Read.
