    Romance Against the Odds

Season Unforgettable by Keta Diablo This novel is a myriad of expectations and understandings. It allows the reader to think about how our upbringings shape a person but, also, how a person can overcome an upbringing to become better than the parent. I liked seeing the developing storyline and the challenges of life with unethical individuals. Loved the story and highly recommend it!!

"Forget? No, never. Season is - is unforgettable."

"Season, Unforgettable" is an unforgettably, romantic romance, filled with intriguing, fast-paced twists and danger lurking around every corner! "Forget? No, never. Season is - is unforgettable." (Quote) This is one of those points were I'd already bitten down all my nails on my left hand, and was now working my way through my right... Determined to hang onto her parent's land, Season Scrimshaw is not selling up without a fight. When she meets Rann Brogan out in the forest and he saves her life, she welcomes him into her home to meet Duma her grandfather, and only living relative. They all get on really well, and there's even a kiss between Season and Rann, but then she discovers Rann's mother is buying all the properties and land around their home, and she wants theirs next. Suddenly Season can no longer trust the man she thought she was beginning to fall in love with. He was surveying her land, after all! What a snake! Rann's mother is out to make money and doesn't care what, or who, tries to stop her. So when things get tough, that's exactly why she sets her younger boyfriend to finish what she'd started. But he's far more dangerous than she realises, and soon the situation is out of control and there are gangsters involved who will go above and beyond the call of duty to achieve deadly results. What a suspenseful, contemporary romance! I devoured this fast and ferociously, and couldn't wait to get to the final resolution to see how it all wrapped up, although that's a bit of a double-edged sword, as I didn't want the story to end either. Keta Diablo, you made me laugh, cry and bite my fingernails down to sore little stumps... I enjoyed every, nail-biting page, and boy, oh boy, what an ending! In addition, I really loved the Indian lore beginning each new chapter. This really strengthens the theme of the book, and the fact that all the characters where multi-dimensional. Just to intrigue you even further, I'll end with this... "...I know because I saw the way he looked at you." "How?" "As if you were the only woman in the world who can make him the best version of himself." *Mike drop*

    Wonderful read

Season was young when her parents were killed in a crash. She was then raised by her grandfather. She loves photography and nature. Walking down a path she comes across a mountain lion. As she falls a man comes to the rescue. Rann sees a woman in need of help and saves the day with his dog. What he doesn’t expect is Season being the one holding up the condo’s progress. Rann’s mother hates loosing money and sends her friend to take action. With his ties to the mob, Season is in danger. When the car accident happens they think things are over but she is taken to the hospital, their plans have to take a change. Rann learns the truth after his mother. Now can he make things right. Season and Rann were fun to read about and get to know. Season was trying to protect her heart and land. Rann was wanting to prove himself that he is the hero. There is just the right about of romance and suspense to keep the reader turning the pages. A read no one will want to put down.
