    Second Chance

Could not put it down! Very good read. If you can, read all of them in order. They can be read alone but I like to keep the flow all together.

    Great Read

Another great instalment in the Ryan Lock series. The only negative part was realizing I was at the end of the book. Thanks Sean for another great read.

    Second Chance

It is difficult to imagine anyone associated with Chance, those who ascribe to the thinking and ideals of the Aryan Brotherhood, being worthy of a second chance--although I am sure Sean Black's choice of title for this book is a play on words re Chance's name. Her entire life revolved around her father, his teaching and role model. The number of deaths she racked up and her choice of lifestyle makes you doubt that she deserved anything but death, but I am glad that Lock was not the one who took her life. Lock's burden of grief and despair is overwhelming when he thinks of the number of deaths that resulted from his efforts to rescue Carmen, and I think Sean Black over did it when he killed off Li. In most cases, I cannot see the necessity to kill so many people unless it was necessary to show the heart attitude of those who populate the Aryan Brotherhood. I pray this is active imagination on Mr. Black's part and that people like these characters do not exist. Lord help us if they do!

Buckle up for a great ride!

I love a good mystery and usually have a strong hunch about who-done-it. Sean Black is a master at keeping you guessing. Each time I think I have it figured out, he throws another curve ball. Ryan Lock is a self assured, macho kind of guy in the business of close-protection security. His girlfriend, Carmen, is kidnapped and held hostage. Ryan's confidence is shattered when his actions will determine whether or not Carmen lives or dies. The stakes are high and personal. Her kidnappers are professionals with high level skills - a good match for Ryan and his partner and best friend, Tyrone (Ty) Johnson. It is up to Ryan to meet the demands of the kidnappers or Carmen will die. Don't think you will figure out the who, how and why along the way. It won't happen! This book is intriguing, artfully written and difficult to put down. Thumbs up, Mr. Black. You have a winner here.
