    Assumptions

Lady Eugenia Devon AKA The Ice Queen's had just heard her nemesis and her husband’s mistress, Mrs. Forestor just died in a carriage accident. She kept her usual cool smile in place until she was alone in her bedchamber, then she wanted to shout with joy! After stealing the book Secrets of the Bedchamber, and learning what passion they could have together. Now was the time to win her husbands attention before he took a new mistress, even though it was common practice. A wife in the early 1800's on the ton in London was to be proper, produce children and run the household. They're not supposed to be passionate or even want it, that's for their husbands mistresses. But Eugenia wanted the love and affection and passion of her husband, *but he still held that a wife was not to be ravished. She was not to enjoy her husband’s attentions. She was far too sensitive and delicate for such. That privilege belonged to a mistress, even though she had shown him otherwise.(*direct book quote).*This was war. She might have lost a battle, but she fully intended to be the victor in the end.(*direct book quote). Marquess of Devon heard of the death of his former mistress while sitting in his club. Ever since the night before he married Eugenia, he and Margaret had not had sex. They had been friends, played cards and talked. He just couldn't think or bed of another woman other than his wife. Eugenia has started acting weird, changing her gowns, her hair and she hasn't even left room on her dance card for him! After reading a gossip column in the newspaper, he's convinced she's taken a lover. Will Devon and Eugenia ever get past their assumptions and come to terms of the love and passion they share for each other, or will they continue to be frustrated? You'll have to read SEDUCING THE MARQUESS to find out. This historical romance novel was a delight to read, I enjoyed watching Eugenia grow and even question her husband who thought he knew what was right for their country. This was my first Callie Hutton book, but I enjoyed the twists and passion she added to this historical romance, I look forward to reading more of her work. I received an ARC copy via IndieSagePR through NetGalley in exchange for a blog tour review. Due to sexual situations, this historic romance novel is recommended for readers 17 and over. FAVORITE PASSAGE~ -This was war. She might have lost a battle, but she fully intended to be the victor in the end.

A delightful romance about going after it all

What made this story for me was the humor I totally love a book with humor. The author brings to the table very likable characters that pull you in giving you a highly entertaining read. Devon has been bought up with strict ways a wife, or married couple should act he thought he found the perfect lady in his lovely new wife Eugenia. She has such grace, just the right tones, the right actions to make those in the ton very happy. No one can or will find fault in his lovely wife. He really is thrilled to have got such a lady but something is a little off, he just isn’t satisfied in his marriage. He can’t put his finger on it she hasn’t done anything wrong she is just as she should be. Eugenia on the surface is a little cold she is one that never lets anyone sees her emotions. No one can make her show how she really feels. She is a lady and always knows her place in public. In the Ton everyone looks up to them and their marriage. This is how a couple should act with respect not showing any feeling. For Eugenia she is happy with her husband he is everything he should be and more. Devon never would dream of embarrassing her and is very discreet. This was what she thought she wanted but she finds herself very unhappy. She is ready to stand up and make a stand she hopes Devon feels the same way. This is where it gets very interesting the Ice Queen is about to have a thawing out and make some moves that just might make the Ton see her in a different light. This was a charming and delightful read. I thought them already being married added to the story. I loved the baiting and head butting as these two work out the true meaning of a marriage. I really enjoyed watching Eugenia come out of her shell going for what she wanted her husband’s love. I thought the characters were delightful as well as the plot. We all know how marriage is it was nice to see a marriage work taking the good with the bad finding a middle ground and saying the heck with what people think. This was a story that pulled me in giving me pleasure from start to finish.

    His Very Proper Wife

Lady Eugenia Devon is shamefully pleased to hear of the death of her husbands mistress. Now maybe she will be able to win his love. He has always treated her with the utmost respect but she would like more. The Marquess of Devon has had it drummed into him all his life exactly how a Marquess should behave, and how he should treat his wife. He should not upset her delicate sensibilities ,he should slake his lusts on a mistress. His problem is he doesn't want to. Our very proper heroine finds something that sparks her interest, can it help her get what she wants? . Our stuck in the mud hero takes a long time to get his head out of his bum, and discover the treasure he has. A sweet historical romance with lots of humour. I did want to knock some sense into the hero several times. A very entertaining story.

    ....steamy but magnetic love story.

A decadent tale of love lust and blatant sensuality are the words to best sum up Seducing the Marquess. Can a marriage built on etiquette survive the storm brewing behind closed Doors? Eugenia is willing to break all the rules in order to gain her husband love, but will she end up breaking her own heart in the process? Bring on the naughty. It's getting hot in here. Passion, confusion and romance are the driving force behind this steamy but magnetic love story.
