What An Incredably Sweet Love Story!

I WANT ME A BLUE!! Good grief! Are there any men like this one and, if so, where could I find one? This was an adorably sweet book and I loved every minute of it. Blue Ryder, a builder, and remodeler from a family of eight, has been interested in Lizzie Barber for a year and has asked her out repeatedly. He hasn't had a serious relationship since he was eighteen and walked in on his then-girlfriend bumping boots with another man. He lost his faith in women and hasn't been seriously involved with one since, keeping his heart safe for many years. Although Lizzy would love to go out with him she turns him down each and every time he asks...until she wasn’t strong enough to resist him any longer. Blue treated her beautifully and fell for her quickly as she did him. They seemed to be the perfect match. Blue knew exactly what he wanted and knew from the day he met her that she was the one. Now if only she gave him a chance. What a man! Lizzy Barber has had her eye and heart on Blue Ryder since she met him one year ago at a friend’s wedding. She thinks he is one of the best men she’s ever known but she has a secret that will surely threaten their relationship, one she doesn't believe any man could or would accept. She owns a florist shop and it does well but she had a mountain of school debt throughout her time at university and she had to try and make it financially on her own when her father became ill. After paying off her college loans her goal was to save enough to open her floral shop without debt. At night, twice a week since she was a college sophomore, she secretly hosts the 'Naked Baker' webcast which she has monetized, wearing an apron and heels. (She is not naked and keeps her angles to the camera as such that nothing shows but as she bakes she very sexily seduces the camera, ergo the men who are watching.) She thought as soon as her business debt was paid off she would be finished with that part of her life and she could move on, except her father was still unable to work much because of his health. Lizzy certainly didn't want her younger sister to struggle and worry how she would pay her own way through college. It also concerned Lizzy what her sister might turn to in order to earn enough for her schooling. Lizzy decided she would keep on with the 'Naked Baker' until her sister graduates but when she fesses up to Blue he does not react well at all. He is so hurt and feels she set out to deceive him to some degree. I definitely recommend this book. I read it twice in two days!

    Sweet

Another great steamy sweet story by Ms. Cole. I really love this sweet with heat series, and fall in love with the characters more with each new book. I really want a Blue of my own, he says and does a few stupid things, but don't most men? Blue works through his issues with Lizzie's 'other' job, and proves that he is the right man for her. Lizzie is so sweet, and I would say at point to a fault. She will do anything he has to do to make sure those around her are cared for, including hiding very important parts of her life from those she loves. It made me really sad for Lizzie that she was so ashamed of her show. She made a decision, that many including her family wouldn't agree with, but she put herself through college, and is doing the same for her sister. I think she should be proud of the strong women she is, and hard decisions she made. Seized by Love at Seaside only made me want more of this sweet with heat series, I can't wait to see what's next.

Seized by Love for this book

4.5 STARS SEIZED BY LOVE AT SEASIDE by Addison Cole is a sweet, heartwarming tale that was a pleasure to read. Lizzie and Blue are two characters that stole my heart. Lizzie is sweet and kind, and, despite keeping a pretty big secret from Blue, is the type of person that deserves love and happiness. Blue, well, what can I say but Book Boyfriend! He's uber-sexy because he is just the nicest guy ever! There was only one slight thing that I didn't absolutely love about this story and that had to do with the plot - the secret Lizzie keeps. Secrets aren't one of my favorite story lines but Ms. Cole still managed to bring it all together in a way that made me cheer and make me forget that I don't like secrets! Ms. Cole certainly held my heart and mind throughout the tale. I found the story to be filled with laughter and joy along with some sadness and tears. Overall, it's a wonderful tale that fills the heart with joy and an overall feel good feeling. (received ARC for honest review)

Blue and Lizzie are meant to be.

Blue and Lizzie are meant to be together. They have been circling each other, teasing each other, and loving each other for a year yet Lizzie refuses to date Blue. Together they make sense, they even each other out, they protect each other, and they belong together. I have been curious about Blue since he was first introduced as a character in Seaside. When he met Lizzie he knew instantly that he wanted to know her better but he had his work cut out for him to win her over. I loved his persistence. He dealt with being put in the friend zone by Lizzie yet never gave up hope that she would come around to his way of thinking. There were a few times that I didn’t love Blue’s reaction to Lizzie’s life decisions but he managed to redeem himself, to prove that he was deserving of loving Lizzie. Lizzie has a secret and it is a big one. I liked that this secret was something that proved how giving, open hearted, and loving she was. While Lizzie struggled with this secret and knew that it could cause problems in her life with a boyfriend, her friends, and her family she wasn’t willing to give it up or share it just to make her life easier. Even when the secret comes out she stays strong to herself. Seized by Love at Seaside is part of the Sweet with Heat: Summer Series by Addison Cole. The books are fun, loving, and sweet without the language and the explicit scenes. I find myself devouring them and anxious for more from Addison Cole. I recommend picking up your copy and enjoying these wonderful and fun characters.

    Sweet Treats

This is the story of Lizzie Barber and Blue Ryder. Lizzie grew up in a very conservative household. Her parents ran a bed and breakfast, and when Lizzie was in college, her parents had financial problems and couldn't help pay for her college tuition. Eventually Lizzie had a huge student loan and no real prospect of paying it off anytime in the near future. After some suggestions by a friend, Lizzie started a cooking webcast that she did entirely on her own. It wasn't your typical cooking show though. Because of the way Lizzie was raised, she felt completely ashamed of herself for doing the kind of show she did, but she was determined to pay off her loans and open her own flower shop. Through hard work and good business decisions, she was able to earn enough to do exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately, Lizzie has a younger sister who has just begun college and Lizzie is doing her best to keep her webcast going and save enough money to continue to pay for her sisters tuition so she can graduate without student loans hanging over her head. While Lizzie is tired of living her secret life, she is proud of herself for working hard and raising the money she has over the years. It's the one thing though that's keeping her from saying yes to Blue when he asks her out. She doesn't think anyone could understand why she does what she does. Blue has wanted to go out with Lizzie since the first time he met her. Unfortunately, she turned him down. Just like she has continued to do for the past year. They're still good friends though and he's working on remodeling her kitchen, so he's always around. One day, Blue finally wears Lizzie down, and she agrees to go out with him. Blue learned so much more about Lizzie and her giving heart, that he couldn't help falling for her. Until the day Lizzie tells him about her secret. Blue really struggled with it at first. But he cared too much about her to let her video webcast destroy what they had. This was such a great story. It had just enough heat and chemistry between the characters, but also showed the struggles some couples go through. The relationship wasn't all roses and sunshine. They faced real obstacles. Not just from her webcast, but also from her family. And Blue was human. He was a super sweet guy that didn't handle it well when Lizzie explained about her show, but quickly realized that it just a business and a means to an end. I enjoyed not only getting to know Lizzie and Blue, but also the rest of the characters in the book. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
