    Great help for authors

Sell More Books with Less Social Media. The name caught my attention. As an author, I want to spend less time marketing and more time writing. Frustrated by hearing other authors say, “Do this.” Or “This worked wonders for me,” I welcomed hearing from a marketing expert, who documented her marketing experience and gave me confidence that her methods were what I needed to target and reach the right audience to sell my books. She included the five steps a person goes through before buying, how to provide interesting content without hitting people over the head with “buy my book” messages, and the steps to follow to launch a book, to set up e-mail lists, to keep them interested, and how to engage them to continue to follow me, so they will listen when I do promote my next book.

Great guide from respected marketing authority

Solid social media book marketing tips from an experienced marketing professional. SELL MORE BOOKS WITH LESS SOCIAL MEDIA is a well-organized comprehensive guide for authors on how to use social media for a more successful career. The focus is not just selling books, but knowing how and why certain social media channels should be used, how to identify appropriate marketing outcomes using social media, and the value of non-sale outcomes such as reader loyalty, building brand recognition and expanding readership. Top recommendation for all authors, especially those new to marketing. I received an advance review copy in exchange for an honest review.

    Teaches marketing strategy

This book teaches authors a marketing system based on a simple concept: do your social media marketing on the right channel. And, according to Chris Syme, that channel is Facebook. If you're looking for help to develop a marketing strategy to boost your sales, this book is worth the investment - and make sure you take advantage of the accompanying free online course. This book is a useful resource for any author wanting to learn the basics of using social media to engage with their readers, and will help you avoid some of the pitfalls of doing social media inappropriately. It covers more than Facebook, and explains the difference between having a marketing strategy and trying everything and anything you can think of to sell your books. Disclosure: I was provided with an advance reader copy to review.
