    Excellent

Thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the Sentinels of Babylon series. This group of vigilantes continue to bring justice to those guilty parties when the court system fails to do so. This is personal for Josh "Sentinel" Lehman since his sister's murdering husband has gotten away with this crime. Ashley Carver is his biggest problem right now though. She's an investigative reporter that has gotten herself into real trouble with her latest investigation. He finds himself wildly attracted to the woman but the last thing he needs in his life is a woman full of questions especially when she's so close to exposing the club. Yet with her life in danger he can't walk away from her. I highly recommend this one.

    Exciting Read!

'Sentinel's Kiss' by Jamie K. Schmidt is book Two in the "Sentinels of Babylon" series. This is the story of Ashley and Josh aka..Sentinel. I have not yet read the previous book so for me this was a standalone book. Josh's sister was killed two years ago which has left him heartbroken and wanting vengeance. So with him and his friends have formed a Club of sorts to deal with bad people. Josh still has vengeance in site for his brother-in law who he thinks killed his sister. Ashley is a reporter and she met Josh at his sister's funeral. Where they were both instantly attracted to each other an acted on that attraction with a one time encounter. Now two years later Ashley is looking into new information on Josh's sister death along with some other women that are being murdered. Ashley has gone back to interview the brother-in law and Josh. When they both meet again after two years they find they are still attracted to each other. But Josh is still keeping a cold attitude with her at first. Yes, he has sexual contact and says sexual things to her but his is keeping his heart and emotions tightly bound to him. But with Ashley looking into these death it has put a target on her. Can Josh move past the pain and accept that he has feeling for Ashley? Can Ashley remain save and try to help bring this killer to justice? This was a very exciting, drama filled...hot read! "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

    Awesome!

This is a great follow up in the series Sentinels if Babylon. There are so many emotions running throughout this book, so many highs and lows that it is like a roller coaster but what a ride! These are characters that are amazingly deep and in some ways very broken. I love that they can fix each other, make each other whole and the whole time neither of them realize it. This series it hot, sexy, fun and a thrill ride that you just can't get off of!

A five-star review on Sentinels of Babylon 2 Senti

I received a free review copy of this book by NetGalley After serving several years in war zones, Josh set up a business with his childhood friends: a bar. A place that is the operation center of the Sentinels of Babylon, a group founded to get all the murderers, rapists, etc that the system set free without paying for their crimes. Ashley is a journalist who met Josh just the same day his sister was buried. Now two years later, she is in charge of investigating a serial killer who is thought to have killed Josh’s sister. The story is well-written and well-developed. There are so many things going on that it is amazing how the author wraps all of them up and put them in their right place little by little to maintain the spirit, the mystery and the intrigue till the very last minute. The idea of having citizens taking the law into their own hands when the system fails to do it is difficult to accept but however, I could understand it. It is difficult to have someone you love hurt and the person responsible not being punished for it. I liked the idea of a tough guy cuddling up babies. I loved Ryder. I’m looking forward to reading her story.
