  • Great read

Shaken, Not Purred by Kelle Z Riley is a romantic suspense with a side of science. The only way I can think of describing this is a cozy mystery with a massive science injection. Ms. Riley has delivered a book that is well-written and populated it with phenomenal characters. Bree is a spy passing herself off as Cat Holmes. She waffles between love interests Tugood, her handler and the only cop that knows she's a spy, James. Their mission is to find out if drugs are being made at Naturalistics. There's plenty of drama, humor, action and suspense to keep readers turning the pages. I enjoyed reading Shaken, Not Purred. Shaken, Not Purred is book 2 of the Undercover Cat Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Well Done !!

Cozies are one of my favorite type of books to read, and this series stands out as offering a unique content that draws the reader right in. Dr. Gabriella (“Bree”) Mayfield-Watson is a PhD chemist who has become a spy which seemed like a good idea at the time. Having a body turn up during her undercover mission, she finds her path disrupted and a slew of diversions she needs to now deal with! Trying to keep her identity hidden during the murder investigation presents its own challenges! Can Bree find the murderer so she can get back to her mission? Will she perhaps even find a new love interest along the way? Descriptions and character development are handled very well and made the story even more enjoyable. Using Bree’s chemistry skills and the scientific approach to problem-solving was intriguing and clever. There are even furry friends added to the mix to make the story perfect and loveable. Don’t hesitate – grab your copy and join the investigation! Or are we going for the spy mission? No wonder Bree is confused!
