  • Twists and Turns

I really enjoyed this book on many levels. The future consequences of pollution and a failed global computer managed technology hare interesting to think about, as woven into this book's narrative. The results of Adam ' s original error, when he burned out the minds of 3 of his former students, comes back to haunt him in this story, and it's clear that Adam is trying his best to make amends for his past failures, even though things sand people aren't exactly who they seem to be. Adam seemed like a more sympathetic character in this book.

  • Character problems

Got through the first book on the premise\plot but hoped his next effort would be better on the character front, no such luck. Everyone seems to hate and scorn the main character relentlessly regardless of his actions. This is particularily grating and confusing coming from Cherabino, while some of her anger is justified she basically treats him with constant antagonism no matter the situation. It fits more with the behavior from an adversary then a supposed partner. The constant toxicity was just too much.
