    Shattered , What a Story!

Book one in the Damaged Hearts series a well written story of two damaged people. Lizzy and Hunter's story kept me turning pages, I was not putting this book down until I was finished. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Emotionally raw,and very gripping

Lizzie and Hunter are too broken and lost souls. It is their art that first brings them together.... their method of expressing the roiling emotions they try to keep locked away. Both have self destructive tendencies that worry those around them and each other. She has a severe eating disorder and he has a tendency towards drinking and lashing out with his fists. They shouldn’t be together, everyone tells them so. They even tell themselves that they are bad for each other, that they will end up destroying what is left of their souls if they are together as a couple. But despite the setbacks or emotional backsliding, they are better together than when they are apart. Read this highly emotional, sometimes painfully raw story to learn how Hunter and Lizzie’s love story unfolds. It is utterly enthralling and may evoke tears at times, so keep the tissues handy. This a book for my keeper list! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    a compelling story

What a compelling story. The writer brings out emotions as I recognize them from patients I have worked with who have had anorexia. The feelings of inferiority, wanting to be invisible, shame, pain, regret and the daily fight with food. But also beautifully described how Lilly finds love, asks herself why she deserves it and can't believe that someone finds her worthy to love. Hunter, the boy with a lot of anger, who broke his way after losing his girlfriend. Who seeks a way to continue and finds that in his art. But Lilly has also learned to vent her emotions through art. The careful steps that both take towards each other. Beautifully described. Highly recommended! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Shattered

A good storyline. Emotions, drama, dealing with some medical subject, some twists and turns, this is journey they took. Lizzie and H/Hunter are both broken souls. She isdealing with anorexia and self harming, he’s grieving for a brother and girlfriend. The art class brought them together They are instantly attracted, and unwilling to connect with each other . Could they have their hearts mended? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
