  • She Wolf

Full Disclosure: I don't often read Rocker Romances. Sure glad I didn't miss out on this one. Take a famous established rock band, a mix of human and shifter members, add some fairytale villains in a story by a versatile author and you've got a winner. Fiona runs an afterschool center for kids who'd be getting in trouble if they didn't have positive resources like music, sports, for some of them their only healthy meal of the day. She loves her kids who are her life after the recent death of her father and only parent. When seven of her kids fall prey to a street drug she determines to stop it. A dangerous undertaking. Fly is the drummer and lone human in the band. When he sees gorgeous Fiona in trouble with two shifters he steps in. One human. Two shifters. Not good odds. Is he crazy? Fiona knows for sure he is a charmer. No wonder he's so popular. She's not falling for that adorable guy charm. Well, she isn't. He doesn't believe her and isn't about to give up. No matter how dangerous it gets. Finding his persistence hard to resist and the one thing she's always wanted--a family--she may just have to give in--a little. The characters are more than likable. The group dynamic is loyal and touching with some humor thrown in. I enjoyed it so much that even though this story stands alone, I immediately got the first two books. Can't wait to read them. I'm thinking there has to be another book coming up for Raven as well. I'll be there. I find Ms. Collins is a versatile writer and I've read her PNR, Intrigue, and romance. I've enjoyed every one. A solid recommendation from me. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On

  • 3 1/2 STARS

3 1/2 STARS Good story but not my favorite book in the series. I found the female lead Fiona to be a bit annoying at times. Bradley aka Fly is a fun character. Though I only give this book 3 1/2 stars, I do love this series though and as always I look forward to more from Ms. Lashell. ****Gifted copy by author ****
