  • Absolutely loved it!

As a 14 year old i seemed unsure about this book(as im not really into buisness-like books, but i was shocked that after what seemed like 10 minutes of reading, ive read over 100 pages. Angie completely changed my view in reading with this breathe-taking book! 10/10!

I loved this book for so many reasons. It shows a woman struggling to make her way as a professional and succeeding. It shows how our perceptions of people can be wrong but the characters were open to changing their opinions. Most of all, it describes and opens our eyes to the beauty of our natural world. It educates us on conservation and shows us there are people and programs that are succeeding at making a difference. It gives us ideas and encouragement that we can make a difference too!

  • Hilarious with romance and adventure

This isn’t the usual type of book I read but when I read what it was about, I couldn’t help but request a copy. Thank you NetGalley . This is my honest review. Henley was a lovable character. I loved all the characters. Graeme is more hunky that she thought. There’s so much humor in this read. Not as much romance as I would’ve liked but it was still perfect. I especially loved the one scene before the cruise where she drunk dialed him but had him on FaceTime, or whatever it was called. You can tell I don’t use that lol. But that was hilarious. She was mortified. This was one of those books you can feel yourself being in their group of friends. I feel like I know them all. You can feel what Henley feels throughout the book. And the cruise was like an adventure for the reader with the descriptions of the wildlife. Superb!

Not since ‘You Deserve Each Other’ did any book ever come to par with ‘The Hating Game’ and when the blurb of ‘Shipped’ was released, I was like YAAAAAAAAAAAAAS! This might be the next big thing but… yes there is a but—it didn’t live up to the hype and now all the hopes and dreams I had had for this love child is now shattered and blown to smithereens. Sure, it’s justifiable as to why this book is marketed for fans of ‘The Unhoneymooners’ by Christina Lauren and ‘The Hating Game’ by Sally Throne. They all share the same elements: enemies turned lovers/arch-nemesis, bitter rivalry, misunderstandings, family drama, and yada yada yada. And what set this novel apart was the fact that it failed to deliver. It was easy to follow, straightforward and had all the elements I usually gravitate towards. What essentially makes or breaks a novel are the characters and the romance which is what killed this read for me. It lacked depth, there was little to no build-up and the tension was laughable at best. And lets talk about how there were pretty much zero interactions between Graeme and Henley (unique names I give it that) besides the generic work meeting that happened once a week (with the hero tuning in remotely) prior to the cruise. How would anyone consider them ‘bitter rivals’? It just didn’t do it for me and though I wouldn’t say it was terrible (it was cute to some degree), I will probably forget everything that happened in this book within a week. Overall, it was a meh and unmemorable read.

  • Riveting

I truly enjoyed this book it was fun to read and I loved the enemies to lovers theme. I truly enjoyed when James got his comeuppance. Graeme and Henley’s story was riveting. I would recommend this book to all.
