    Nike: Shoe Dog

A well-depicted book that delves into the background history Nike which, under the leadership and management of the co-founder Phil Knight and his team, managed to survive their difficult start-up years that saw the company close to the brink of bankruptcy to the eventual success as the biggest shoe company in the world, surpassing the likes of Adidas, Converse and Puma along the way...

    Great read

I really enjoyed this read. The combination of hard work, learning from mistakes, taking risk and a little bit of luck was very inspirational to me.

Great book on focus and dedication

Everyone talks about starting 'their own company' .. Few have any idea what that would entail nor do they every have the energy to take it on. This book is such a great story of the focus and dedication and perserverence that it takes to get a start up off of the ground. And the LUCK that is needed to dodge the bullets. I loved this book and will recommend it to all of my bookie friends. I especially loved the ending where Phil looks back on his life and considers the sacrifices that he made in terms of his family. I also loved his analysis of money.

A different kind of business book!

Excellent read - from story to writing style it was extremely insightful and enjoyable. You could feel the struggles that were experienced throughout the years, both personally and in business. Highly recommend this book.
