    Don't Miss this one!

This book is part of The Inheritance series each one written by a different author. This one by Julia Kent is classic. The first chapter is worth the price of the book. I laughed so hard!! I want to be Agnes when I grow up! Gerald and Suzanne were together 10 years ago and Gerald walked away. Supposedly for Suzanne's own good! Enter an inheritance from Harold Hopewell that Suzanne as a lawyer now must deliver to Gerald. There is way more to this story but I don't want to give too much away. Since this is also a part of Julia Kent's Shopping series you also get to see some of our old friends like Marie! If you've enjoyed either series then don't miss this one! I received an ARC for a honest review.

    Sweet, Sexy, and Hilariously Funny!

Another laugh out loud funny book from the outrageous mind of Julia Kent! I loved this book! It was nice to get into the minds of a few of the lesser known characters from the Shopping For A Billionaire series, while still seeing our favorites... and in some cases seeing A LOT of our favorites, as in every square inch of them. I have a sudden and urgent urge to sign up for a nude sculpting class. No one, and I mean no one does romantic comedy like Julia Kent! Her characters are so outrageous and hilarious, yet so honest and sincere and completely real. They just draw you right into the story, and you can't help but become invested in their lives. I was hooked from very early on in this book and remained riveted to the very last page. It was full of romance and mystery and passion and more than a little humor. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet, sexy, and funny as heck read.

A Must Read. When is the Next one coming out

Just finished the latest in the Shopping series. This is the story of the chauffeur who has inherrited .... well I let you read it to find out. It has all the old favourites from the Shopping series as well as a few new ones or people who have been recently mentioned in the last book.. It's not always about money or oregano or puppy love for that matter !! but always about love. Agnus and her gang make an appearance and always have me in fits, and of course our old favourites Declan and Shannon, always want to read about them. Maybe we will read more about James and hopefully a happy story for him in the future ? Nice to see that the boss and his staff can have a friendship. A very pleasureable read.

Hilarious, witty and down right wrong. Excellent!

Received an ARC for an honest review. (This is my second review ever). I discovered Julia Kent at an author and reader event earlier this year, and have read all of the books in the Shopping for... series. I awaited this book with excitement, knowing that we'd see into the life of Gerald, the McCormick's chauffeur. Shopping for an heir is brilliantly delivered, a gripping tale of love, loss and second chances. Gerald let Suzanne, the love of his life, go to protect her. Fate sees her brought back into his life, when an inheritance case brings up a secret from his past. Julia weaves PTSD into this romantic comedy, and portrays PTSD in a realistic and sensitive way. There are hilarious, witty and down right wrong moments, from doggie dating, oregano to exchanges between Agnes, Corrine and other characters from previous Shopping for... books. I particularly enjoyed Declan modelling for Gerald's art classes. I recommend Shopping for an heir, and the whole series to anybody who enjoys romance and comedy.

    Just Keeps Getting Better

There is a depth to this latest book, combining the Inheritance series and Shopping series, not readily seen in other books by Ms Kent...not only is a very real and devastating issue of PTSD addressed, but there is a deeper layer of intensity than previously written in the Shopping series. Yes the wackiness of Marie pops up...was anyone else cheering as I did when Gerald literally removed her from his class?...Ms Kent's trademark witty banter and dialog, along with the humorous under currents of the cast of characters from the Shopping series...Agnes!!...are all present, but Gerald and Suzanne's relationship had an intenseness to it than any of the other character couples. Perhaps it was their shared history in the military, but they definitely were completely unique to previous characters I've read from this author. Ms Kent has once again demonstrated her talent as a storyteller through her ability to draw the reader into the story from the beginning, not releasing that grasped until the very end. Overall the story is multileveled, the premise intriguing, and the characters entertaining...the emotional investment of previous characters is added to by Gerald and Suzanne, with newer, revisiting characters making a more prominent appearance, Vince needs his own story...would love to see James and Pam expanded upon. I'm looking forward to what's up next in the Shopping series. This book was provided by the author for my honest review.
