  • Can you find love on a cruise ship? Yes, they can

I'll admit this novel intrigued my interest based on the title alone. As I read, it was different than I expected, a good different. Through the author's words, I was able to capture and understand both subjects point-of-view. Lowe's need to establish her independence despite her family's status and wealth, as well as Faith's love of her family and send any money she could to her mother back home. Upon their first encounter, it appeared at love, or rather lust at first sight. At Lowe's insistence to separate herself from her family, manners included she takes it upon herself to apologise for her family's rude behaviour. I admired Lowe's determination to separate herself from her relatives. Although she has a trust fund, that remains untouched, she took the initiative to start her own business and it is quite successful. It is quite understandable Faith's reluctance to pursue anything with Lowe Carter, abiding by the ship's rules. But love knows no rules; the heart wants what the heart wants. I was more than happy when Faith gave into her emotions. Despite the fear of losing her job; you can always find different employment but love rarely comes around. The ending of the novel was both hopeful and saddening. I wanted more of their relationship, but I suppose where it ended was enough. The reader can then determine how their relationship will progress... I'm rooting for Lowe and Faith's relationship! In my head, they can find a common medium... able to find a place to settle down and start a family. They start with at least a dog. I cannot help but revel at the fact that they found each other on a large cruise ship despite the many factors against them. It further proves that love can conquer anything...
