    Fun and Flirty

Oh my! Just knew that Layton and Aiden were going to be explosive together when they finally, FINALLY got together just wish it hadn't taken so long. Layton had her whole life planned out since she was a young girl and planned out in her binder and it included her wedding and happy ever after except that didn't include the husband calling it quits 4 days into the honeymoon. She comes back from the honeymoon and crashes at her brother's and when he has enough calls in the big guns...Aiden...to get her out of bed and on with her life. Just what she needs, something else to focus on and the sparks have always been there with Aiden but she is looking for redemption or at least knowing she is not so devastatingly bad at everything; the only problem is Aiden is only looking for the real thing with Layton, always has been. He has been in love with her forever and always and only wants forever and always with her, not rebound and out. This was full of lots of fun and flirty, sexy and laughable times even if it needed to move along more. The last 20% was the best and the epilogue brought smiles and tears! I am looking forward to Kingston's story! **Received this ARC for review**

Marquita's best work so far <3

Everyone who knows me knows how much I love Marquita and her books. I might be a bit blind sighted when speaking about her work but I assure you if you pick up this book you’ll understand why I love her like I do. Ever since I read Scored I was routing for her to give was this book and thank God she listened. The fool never becomes the hero of a fairy tale, no matter how much he loves the princess. Ooooo my poor Aiden…He was so in love with Layton that It was just hard to read. It was breaking my heart when he wanted more and she just couldn’t give it to him tnx to her Ex. But when Layton finally admitted to herself that she loves him it was just pure joy and smile from ear to ear for me. This book is guaranteed to bring you smiles to your face and feeling stupidly happy by the end of it. I highly RECOMMEND it! Bring on Kingston’s book

Marquita Valentine has another hit on her hands!

Marquita Valentine certainly knows how to tell a fantastic story. Her quick with, strong characters and combustible chemistry is the perfect combination in her newest release Sidelined. I first met Layton and Aiden in Scored and I was delighted to read more about them in this sexy standalone. Unlike traditional sports romance, or romance of any kind, Layton actually ends up with the with the wrong guy. Unfortunately, she finds out four days after her honeymoon is underway. She is left dejected and devastated. She has spent the better part of her life envisioning her happily ever after, only to have it fall apart. But she has a new plan, and it involves her brother's best friend Aiden. Aiden is the quarterback for the Renegades. He is at the top of his game and wants nothing more than to bring his team a championship ring. He has been a the best friend of Kingston Price since college. From the day he met 11 year old Layton, she had a way of getting under his skin like no other had before. First she was like the pesky sister he never had, until one day his feelings for her weren't so sisterly. All he ever wanted was her happiness. Even if it meant watching her walk away with another man. The one she deemed right for her. I absolutely love how Marquita has the ability to intricately weave multiple story lines through one complete story as well as throughout her series. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next with Kingston's story, Nailed.

Just as good as the first book

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I LOVED this story. This is one of those stories where I begged the author to write it because I fell in love with Layton and Aidan in the previous book. You never know, will it live up to your imagination and it so did!!! It starts in the middle of the previous book and while it does I also think that makes it stand alone as well. Thought I recommend you start with the first book so you really get to know Layton and Aidan. It tells the backstory on Layton and Aidan's relationship and introduces Layton's brother Kingston. You see Aidan is Kingston's best friend and so Layton is Aidan's best friends little sister and so that is really the issue between the two. Also there is Layon's plans from when she is very little on who her future husband will be. Anyways as we know from the previous book Layton discovers on her honeymoon she married the wrong guy. And well she has a lot of fun after torturing Aidan. And well Aiden and Layton make some magic in this book. I really don't want to spoil anything but I LOVED this book. It was fun, sweet, romantic, broke my heart at a few points but might be the best book the author has ever written. Definitely one you do not want to miss!

    Entertaining

Enjoyed the hero more than the heroine.. she was really childish and blind at times.. how didn't she figure out how the hero felt throughout the entire story was beyond me... the whole virgin/husband thing was a little too much honestly.. I wanted her to grow up more before getting together with the hero.. I enjoyed the hero and the way his story was portrayed.. overall a good story with likable characters
