  • Wolff Tells a Good Tale

As before, the overview is worth the price of the book. The details might be inaccurate but Wolff is no journalist. Talking to Bannon (and seemingly to friends-of-friends of other players we haven’t heard much of) reads basically true. It may be that this book is not quite as engaging as “Fire and Fury”; in the earlier book he was still inside the WH. But hearing from inside the Special Counsel’s office via someone who knows Weissman was very interesting. Wolff says Trump’s presidency is a semi-criminal enterprise; in a direct-quote aside Bannon tells him he can take off the “semi-“.When discussing who would be the ones to tell Trump its time to leave, Bannon dismisses Javanka saying they have no life but as grifters; for the grift to go on, Trump has to stay.
