Siren in Waiting, a great read

Siren in Waiting by Sophie Oak/ Lexi Blake is book five in her Texas Sirens Series. Siren in Waiting is a re-release, newly edited and with a new cover. Trevor - Trev - McNamaro is a former football star. He was fired by his team and now he hit rock bottom. Curt puts him in a kind of rehab in a BDSM club. He has to go to Texas and work with a Dom. That changes his life. Put Bo O’Malley, a man who has lived his whole life in the shadow of his brother; and the woman he secretly loved all his life in the mix, you have the recipt for a captivating read that will you have at the edge of your seat. I loved the writing and the story - I loved meeting characters from the other books in the series and give 4,5 beautiful stars.

Overcoming the hardest barrier - yourself!

I absolutely loved this book the first time I read it, and I love it more each time I read it. This book completely engages like none other! There is something about the individual aspects of each character being alone and different and just how well they not only fit together, but need and 'get' each other. Trev is the recovering addict who needs to both be there for Beth but partner with Bo. Beth finally can express her true feelings for Bo who she has loved since she was 5 while letting go of all her shyness with Trev and Bo finally gets a place all of his own to fit in, he gets the girl he loves and the mentor he wants. This story, and these characters, speak to your soul as you travel with them to their final destination, an amazing read!!!

    An incredible story

There is just something special about the books Lexi Blake writes as Sophie Oak. Well, there is something special about all her books but I think the Texas Siren books and the Bliss books just touch my heart in a different and unique way. And it is not about the erotic part of the books. It is about the characters themselves and the way they fight for their HEA. And Siren in Waiting is not an exception whatsoever. I was invested into the characters and their story from the very first page. It simply broke my heart reading about Trev and Bo's demons from their past and the painful shyness that surrounded Beth. In many ways, I think this is one of my most favorite books in this series. There was just something about the struggles Trev needed to live through and the heartbreak and pain that haunted Bo's life, especially his early years, that spoke to me. I haven't lived through anything that hard but I suppose we all have difficult times in our pasts that define us as the people we are. But the beauty of this book is that the characters don't settle for the hand that faith played them. They fight for a better life, for a life filled with love and happiness, for their HEA. I don't think there is much more that I can say about this book. It was filled with heartbreak, will for survival, hope and a lot of love. And the cherry on top is the sprinkle of danger and suspense that just kept me on the edge of my seat around the end of the story. I hope I managed to convince you pick up a copy of this incredible book. All of Lexi's books are amazing but if you need to pick just one, I would recommend this one. At least for now :) I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
