  • Good Book

Good start to the series, unfortunately I'd read book 2 the novella in Seduced by the Game before reading this one so I knew how it was going to end up but it still was a good story. Ethan is a hockey loving billionaire who's been trying to get a team in Seattle for years but always being turned down, now has the chance. Lauren is a hockey statics guru from a well know hockey family, that can see who is worth the money & who isn't but not being taken seriously by the florida hockey team she works for because she's a woman in the old boy's club. Ethan goes undercover with the team t learn all the aspects of the team & to see who they will keep & who to get rid of. What he's not counting on is Lauren & his attraction to her & hers to him. With a secret looming over his head he chances a relationship wit Lauren, but then has it blow up in his face when it's discovered he now owns the team. His one smart move to put Lauren under contract to his company is the only way that he has contact with he now, but he's not giving up. Can Ethan earn Lauren's trust back & win her heart back as well? CAn a hockey team survive in Seattle? Can't wait to read more in this series.

  • What A Hockey Romance Legend

What a Romance Hockey Legend. To see a franchise team build from the start and what all it takes. I know this is one of several in a series. Even if there weren't books to follow this could be a stand alone. I don't recommend it though. Once you read "Skating on Thin Ice" you will want to know the rest of the story. Ethan Parker is such an up standing citizen with great values. He hates to deceive those he will come close to but he has to for the greater good. Not just for personal gain but for gain of those in the Seattle area. Lauren is a woman trying to make it in a man's world. She has been burned before and it takes a lot for her to trust. Once you've gained her trust she given it openly but if you lose it, it's gone. Will it be gone forever? Can these two work out their misgivings for the greater good or even for love? Jami Davenport is an amazing author. Her writings make you feel the emotions her characters are going through, good or bad. She makes you see the story as it unfolds. I love her writings to say the least. I recommend this book and many others by her. She won't disappoint you.
