  • A Masterpiece

Clever, dramatic, strange, different. A sense of humor that cuts like a knife. Vonnegut took "non linear narrative" to a more literal level.

  • Wow!

I read this in college and re-acquainted myself with Billy Pilgrim. Make sure you give yourself time to sit down and enjoy yourself with this good book.

  • A masterpiece

I listened to this audiobook narrated by James Franco. I'm not even sure what to say about this. It was such an enjoyable read (listen). This was my first experience with Vonnegut and his writing is beautiful - like poetry in prose form. The story just flowed so simply and easily. The surreal nature of the experiences of Billy Pilgrim, combj Ed with the masterful performance by James Franco, worked together perfectly. I felt like a little kid being read a story that is all at once sad, funny, magical and mystical. I think this is the first time I can say that a book was an experience

  • Slaughterhouse 5

Boek over de laatste weken van WO2. Goed beschreven, soms wat cynisch maar altijd volt leesbaar. In schrijfstijl doet het denken aan Haruki Murakami. Niet heldhafig, eerder een antiheld.

  • Great book

One of my favourite books of all time. I've read it about 5 times in the last 40 years. Never gets tiring. Anti war message is as powerful today as it was when it was written in the 60s. Movie version is also wonderful.
