  • Great Start to The Series

3.5 Stars This is a reissue of a book written by Lexi Blake under the pen name Sophie Oak. However, as is mentioned in the opening, it is rewritten and reedited with some additional scenes added. I had not read this title previously, so I am not able to speak to any differences in the story, or to any changes in the pacing from the original novel. That said, I enjoyed this. The book is about Abigail, who left the town in disgrace years ago, and the relationship she starts with Jack and Sam. What you expect is what you get. There are some excellent sexy times and the development of a believable relationship with all 3 of them. There is internal dialog at a wedding that was hilarious and shows how much has changed for the people watching the relationship, which I enjoyed. Sometimes, it is great to read a book that is well written and exactly what you are expecting. This is this title, and I recommend it.

  • Off to a flying start

5 Star Review Small Town Siren (Texas Sirens #1) by Sophie Oak Although I have read all of Lexi Blake’s books I had not read any of her Sophie Oak books and I have to ask myself why. Many years ago Abby was run out of town, alone, frightened, pregnant and warned never to return to small down Willow Fork, TX. Fast forward nearly 20 years and she has returned to look after her mother. Still unwanted and harassed by many in the town Abby is determined to ignore them. When she meets best friends and partners in a cattle ranch, Jack Barnes and Sam Fleetwood, her thoughts immediately turn to the naughty books she reads, even though she believes them to be gay. Unbeknownst to Abby, Sam is immediately attracted to her and tells Jack that he thinks she could be the one. But will their taste for kink be too much for her? Will Abby dare to risk being the centre of town gossip yet again by becoming involved with both men? I fell for all of the characters and loved the dynamics between Jack, Sam and Abby. There was romance, suspense and so much steam coming off my reader that I was riveted from the first chapter. This will be another fantastic series to dive into and I cannot wait for the next release.

  • Sweet and sexy cowboy menage

I have to admit, I love this book on so many levels, but the 'bring me to tears' moment each and every time I read it is Jack's speech to Abby about loving her always. The first time I read that so many years ago, I was stunned speechless and had to re-read it several times. Every re-read over the years, it still takes my breath away, and it did again last night when I read the updated version. When you get to it, you'll know it, and if you've read it, I know you understand There was never any question in my that when the story was updated I was going to get the updated version. While the actual story is pretty much the same, there is a prologue know of Abby leaving Willow Fork and Jack and Sam coming to Willow Fork. We also get the happenings of Abby coming back that were alluded to in the previous version, but we get to see now. The only other thing, other than some updated language, was a little more ramp up in the playroom when Sam got in trouble. In other words, it is still an amazing story, with amazing characters, that brought me back into the reading world all those years ago. Abby Moore is still the tough and vulnerable woman who does nothing wrong but live her life, Sam Fleetwood is still an overzealous, lovable, fun man who needs to be wanted, and Jack Barnes, oh Jack Barnes is still able to make my heart stop the moment he steps onto a page. He is no nonsense, dark, sweet, and powerful, and how you treat those he cares about will always determine which side of him you see Jack, Abby, and Sam are back, and if you didn't catch them the first time around, make sure you get them now!

  • Small Town Siren

I have is series in the original form and loved it, reread it many times but this rewrite with add chapters has just made it so much better, which I didn't think possible. You will not be able to do anything but fall in love with Sam, Jack and Abby and the whole series again. This is a most read series. ENJOY
