    Perfectly Sweet

This book was a wonderful surprise. There's something about Delaney and Reed that I just couldn't get enough of. You have the local sweetheart who everyone loves and a former local who wants nothing to do with the town he grew up in. Delaney and Reed were just what I needed when I started their story. I was sucked in from page 1 because I was so curious who this Delaney Kate was and where her story was going. Friends to lover stories are always my favorite and this one was no different. There is something about a friends to lover story that makes my day, out of them, I might just say this has been one of my favorites. Delaney is the female character that had me laughing out loud. I couldn't help but love everything she got herself into and all the things she was involved in. i loved watching her interact with the towns people and how her relationship with Reed developed.

    Brilliant!!

OMG! Best opener EVER!!! Delaney Abbot is one sassy lady! Lol! As well as being sassy, Delaney is also the ‘Small Town Sweetheart' – everyone in Spring Grove absolutely adores her - and she absolutely adores them, and the town. Not everyone feels that way though. Reed McElroy escaped Spring Grove 12 years ago. He felt like he didn’t fit in, and hated how everyone knew each other's business. He's been happily living in the City and made a good life for himself. He never in a million years expected to have to go back. But circumstances change, and Reed has no choice – he has to go back, and he’s dreading it. There is one thing that makes his return completely worthwhile though - Delaney! I LOVED this book! Toni Aleo's words make you feel like you’re actually there, living and breathing in Spring Grove with all the other residents! I can’t wait for the next one in this series. A definite 5 star read!

Small town romance at its best!

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review** What a fantastic addition to the Spring Grove series! I love small town romances and this one was no exception! Delaney has spent her life in Spring Grove and while she has always had great friends, she's never had the love life that she would have liked back in high school or now. Not to mention she was crushing on one of her closest friends, Reed, throughout her childhood and high school years and she knew he had no idea that she was. As a teenager, she was a fuller figured girl and as she got older, she lost a great deal of weight not only for herself, but also to maybe one day be able to catch the eye of that one guy who always eluded her. It just seems that every time she dates someone new, they end up cheating on her or they end up being the wrong person for her. Reed left town when he was eighteen, which was his plan. He never wanted to work at his family's distillery, he always wanted to be a vet and work with animals. He moved away, went to school and then started working with one of his college friends at his vet office. It isn't until Reed's father unexpectedly passes away that he is forced to head back to Spring Grove to face not only his grief, but the town that he hasn't missed at all since he left. When Reed and Delaney reconnect, they pick up right where they left off years ago. They spar with one another and tease, but underneath, Del is still pining for Reed. Reed wants to be home for the funeral and then get back to his regular life in Lexington, but what he doesn't know is that his father has very different plans for him. Will it turn out that this is a case of the old adage "father knows best" or will the plans that Reed's father left for him make him turn tail and run again? I loved the way the relationship developed between Del and Reed. It seemed very organic to me and yet very small town at the same time with all the meddling, gossip and mishaps! Their chemistry was great and I also loved all of the secondary characters. I'm really looking forward to what might be in store for some of the other resident's of Spring Grove in the future! Do yourself a favor and pick up this great work by Toni Aleo!

    Beautiful

I really enjoyed my second visit to Spring Grove. I loved meeting Delaney in "Not the One" and she became even more charming and is the Sweetheart of Spring Grove. Delaney is the town do-gooder, the go-to person if you need help or a great softball player and the town loves her. Delaney wants a man to love, one that will love her and be faithful. Reed left Spring Grove tor college and never came back, nor did he want to. He loved his family and friends, but not the small town gossip and the feeling that he never belonged. The death of Reed's father brings him back to Spring Grove to say goodbye and support his family, he's planning on staying a few days. Reed and Delaney had been close childhood friends and now was the time to revisit that friendship and their feelings. They both learn what is important. This book was full of feelings for family, lifelong friends, community and lovers. The humor kept a balance and made this a book to put a smile on my face. Quack Quack.

    A sweet ride.

Delaney found her home at a young age. Reed is still searching for his. After years away, Reed returns to the place that started him on his quest. Spring Grove is hardly big city living, but it has a few surprises in store. Could love be on the horizon for the small town girl and her big city guy? Small Town Sweetheart is a reminder to appreciate the little things and never forget where you come from. Aleo takes the slow route to love, but boy is it a sweet ride.
