    Smoldering!

In Smolder by Tracy Solheim Sam, a former Army Ranger has left most of his past behind to move to Glacier Creek Montana. There he is the new captain of smoke jumpers. Lauren's life changed with an unplanned pregnancy and her mother becoming ill. Her dreams might have been a bit different than the life path she is on now, but she is back in Glacier Creek on the family ranch making the best of it. Lauren and Sam are brought together by a horse, but neither is looking for another relationship. Neither of them expected the sizzling attraction between them. As life goes on in Glacier Creek, the slow burn between them heats up...but is love worth all the perceived risks? I really enjoyed Smolder and Sam and Lauren's story. I liked that neither of them were really bitter about their past relationships, they just weren't ready for another one. I liked the way Tracy brings them together. The ups and downs, the push and pull between them was believable and they felt like real people. The dangers of Sam's job added a rush of adrenaline, then watching Lauren take back part of what she loves felt good to read about. Sam and Lauren are strong main characters who develop well in Smolder, and grow so much. Their backgrounds and present life are all well presented in Smolder and the flow is great! Lauren's son is a sweet secondary character filled with dreams of his own...which include his father. I liked how Lauren dealt with this, and even her live life on the edge ex was a well played character who I liked! Smolder is a fast paced novella that fits a lot into it without being overwhelming. It couldn't have been better! I'd recommend Smolder to any romance reader looking for a great read with lots of heat to escape into! I received a free copy for an honest review.

    Excellent

Excellent book! Can't wait for more of these hot smoke jumpers. Sam Gaskill arrives in Glacier Creek, Montana to not only restart his life somewhere new but to take over command of a squad of dedicated smoke jumpers who recently lost their Captain. Stepping into the role will be challenging but it's a much needed challenge as he works to put the loss of his wife behind him and start fresh. He is in no way ready to meet the very tempting Laurel Keenan. Nope, can't do it. He failed one woman and can risk it again. Sometimes though what you need is the exact thing you think you can't have and Laurel and her young son Tyson is exactly what Sam needs to start living again. I highly recommend this one.

    Smolder

This is the start of a new series from Tule Publishing. This is all about firefighting. It is set in Montana. Sam is the new boss of the fire station. They drop into the fires using hard training to land with their parachutes. Spoiler. He meets Laurel and her son Tyson when he brings his late wife Becky's reining mare to show and then sell to a good home. That means she will have to train Tabitha to show her to win. Spoiler! Laurel is a single mom to Tyson. His dad is a winter Olympian and visits a few times a year. He wants his dad to stay, not knowing Dad is marrying a famous model. The team is ready to fight fire. They get a call about a fire in one of their pastures. They move their horses and realize Tyson isn't anywhere! Sam runs to find him and his pony. Spoiler. You need to read this story to see how it ends. I liked this book. I used some tissues. I hope you check this book to read! You won't regret it! I volunteered to read and review this book.

    Love burns

Sam Gaskill is starting over in Glacier Creek, Montana at the new captain of the smoke jumpers squad. He's not looking for entanglements. They only end badly for him. In fact that is the reason he's at the Whispering Breeze Ranching that will house Tabitha, a horse that he had gifted to his late wife, He's here to make sure his wife's dream is fulfilled, Tabitha competing at the national level. Only his attraction to the woman who's going to be training the horse hits him deep in the gut. Laurel Keenan had dreams of her own, but an unplanned pregnancy threw a spanner in the works. Now she is following a career that is a smart choice but not who she is or what she needs. She's had a bad enough experience with her son's adrenaline junkie father. She cannot give her heart to someone who loves the thrill of danger more than he loves her. But neither is prepared for the intense heat of their feelings for each other. So now they must decide if they want to fan the flames of love or put it out once and for all. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

    Loved the characters!

Adventure, passion, forgiveness, and so much more make this an excellent read. I loved the characters and the supporting characters. "Smolder" by Tracy Solheim is book one in the "Firefighters of Montana" series. This is former Army Ranger, Sam Gaskill and Laurel Keenan, champion horsewoman's story. Sam moved from Texas to Montana so he could start his life over after losing his wife to a tragic accident. He accepted the job of captain of Glacier Creek's forest service station. Laurel, single mom, has put all her dreams to the side to raise her son. Her son's father is a famous snowboarder training for the Olympics. He doesn't give much help in raising their son. Laurel is training Sam's late wife's horse for the American Quarter Horse Championship. When they meet there is a strong attraction between them. But neither one feels that they are in a good place for a relationship. Will they be able to ignore the attraction between? I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content. Author, Tracy Solheim, gets your attention right from the start and keeps it. What a great start to the "Firefighters of Montana" series. A well written, and fun and entertaining read! Looking forward to the next books in this series.
