    Loved It

4.5 Stars 'So Right' by Darcy Burke is book Two in the "Ribbon Ridge: Love on the Vine" series. This is the story of Kelsey and Luke. I have not yet read the previous boo so for me this was a standalone book. Kelsey is really just seems to be starting over after having a very bad experience with a past boyfriend. Kelsey is working at a Library and working part time at a bar. Her good friend has been taking her to a Winery where her boyfriend helps to run. There she meets Luke who is eye catching but with her past she just plans to only be friends. Luke who is single and hasn't meet a women who understand his working habits nor his desire for only time. But with Kelsey she seems to understand him and is easy on the eyes. But Kelsey has her past to deal with before things can go forward completely for them. This was a great emotional love story as two 'friends' slowly move forward toward more. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

    Enjoyable

So Right by Darcy Burke Series: Ribbon Ridge: Love on the Vine #2 3 Stars- This was my first book by Darcy Burke. It had some good chemistry between Luke and Kelsey. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well, however, we never got to find out what happened in the teeny added on subplot of what Kelsey and her friend's are researching. Perhaps that carries on through to book 3. At times, I did find Kelsey to be very harsh with her mixed signals to Luke. I understand she's trying to figure herself out, but it was very hot and cold. A few times I thought to myself ..Poor Luke. On the plus side he is a nice and patient guy, which is just the match to help Kelsey learn to trust again, however long that will take. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I would read another by her. * I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review *

Perfect trifecta; Wine, Librarian, and Romance!

Darcy Burke has wrote the perfect trifecta; romance, wine, and librarians. I felt as if Burke looked into my mind and knew this book would be a something I would really enjoy, and I did! So Right is the second book in the Love on the Vine series, which is a spin off of the Ribbon Ridge series. If you haven’t read the Ribbon Ridge series, or the first book, So Good, in the Love on the Vine series, I highly recommend you do. I’ve enjoyed all of them, and Burke did a wonderful job writing characters that instantly felt like friends. The town of Ribbon Ridge is someplace I want to live. Besides having so many nice people, the town seems adorable. After spending a day in town going to various shops including the Knitty Gritty (a knitting store with knick knacks) and a Slice of Pi (a pizza restaurant), the winery would be a perfect place to end the day…. Although in this book, the three Westcott brothers, along with one of the Archers, are still working on getting it ready for opening day. Okay, enough about the amazing characters and the picture perfect town. In So Right, Burke went a little darker than the other books. Kelsey had been in an abusive relationship, and this has her keeping a distance from Luke, even though she is really attracted to him. Luke, who is a workaholic, is attracted to Kelsey as well, but with the mixed signals Kelsey is sending him, Luke thinks it may just be easier to keep throwing himself into the work that needs to be done at the winery. Besides Kelsey’s abusive relationship, the end of the book is where the book goes a bit darker. I would love to see Burke take a stab at writing a novel with more suspense, from the bit we see at the end, I think she would do an excellent job. With all of Burke’s Contemporary and Historical Romance novels, the sex scenes she writes are steamy, and sometimes very sweet, depending on the situation. If you’re looking for a great beach read or something to curl up with by the fire, this is a wonderful choice.

With Darcy Burke at the helm anything is possible.

Kelsey needs to feel safe from the demons of her past. Luke wants her heart. Which is as elusive her ability to trust. Ms. Burke could not have picked a more beautiful setting for So Right to unfold. Picturesque wine country with the lush greenery, the fiery sunsets and the pungent aroma of the grapes on the vine. The imagery was like a vibrant image brought to life before my eyes. Surrounded by the beautiful atmosphere and the inviting arms of the Westcott family, will the fearful young woman succeed in regaining her independent spirit? Will love find it's way into her heart? With Darcy Burke at the helm anything is possible. There are so many irresistible characters, it's hard to keep track of them all. If the people don't pull you in, the emotions will.
