    Thanks for your feedback!

Having read a previous book by David Bell, I was anxious to read his newest book and it did not disappoint! Michael Frazier’s ex-wife appears at his door, claiming that her ten year-old daughter has been kidnapped and he is the father. Since the fate of a little girl is in jeopardy, Michael takes off with his ex-wife to find the girl. This story has many twists and turns that makes the ending hard to predict. Complex and well developed characters make this book a real page turner. I highly recommend this book.

    I devoured this book

Goodbye reading funk. I was so deep in a funk, nothing was good, nothing kept my attention and then I picked up Somebody’s Daughter by David Bell and I devoured it. Every word, every paragraph, every page just flew out of the book and I couldn’t stop. I was invested in the twists and turns of the storyline, invested in the amazing realistic caring characters, and invested in the safety of a young girl who hadn’t been seen for hours. The suspense in Somebody’s Daughter never lets up. There are so many twists, turns, and ups and downs. With each twist in the book, I wanted to find the missing girl. I wanted to know what had happened to her yet I was thrilled that the story was continuing and that the girl hadn’t been found yet. I was so into the story I wasn’t ready for it to end. David Bell takes the reader in circles, introducing characters that all have some type of tie to Erica, the missing girl’s mother, or Felicity, the missing girl. There are times you are sure that you just met the kidnapper and then something else happens and you know that it isn’t quite right. I found it very easy to keep track of who the characters were, how they were connected to the main characters, and what they were doing to “help” find Felicity. I liked how he intertwined the characters that would never have met each other putting them in different situations where they were together and making them interact all in the name of saving a missing child. Whether this is your first David Bell book or one of many, you will not be able to put it down. Pick up your copy now.

    Captivating mystery

Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group and NetGalley for an e-ARC of Somebody's Daughter by David Bell in exchange for an honest review. A doorbell rings at 8:16 PM at the home of Michael and Angela Frazier and the lives of the Frazier family are about to be forever changed. Michael opens the front door to come face-to-face with Erica, his ex-wife from 10 years ago. She informs him that their 9-year-old daughter Felicity, whom Michael did not know existed, has been kidnapped. In less than 24 hours, the story will develop with many twists and turns. From that point on, we are also introduced to Michael's mother Gail and his sister Lynn. Add in some dedicated police detectives and the story takes off. All of the Fraziers willl have their lives turned upside-down due to lies from the past. Who kidnapped Felicity? Why was Felicity kidnapped? Will she be found alive? Who is her biological father? Each chapter tells us about a different character's journey, adding to the suspense and keeping the reader's interest. This is my first David Bell novel but it will not be my last. A great read.
