Great addition to a great series

This was a good quick read, Truth is a great character that just wants to help her brother in law out. Jackson is trying to stay away from Truth because he wants to honor his brother. I loved this story because you can’t but root for these two and of course little monster or daisy. To see Truth stand up for Jackson when he is hurt, when others laugh at him or when he is in trouble and daisy is taken away is amazing. This was a great story and Lena hart did a great job on this story and this series is great.

A big guyy with a tender heart

What do you do when the most magnetic man you have ever met is your bad boy brother-in-law whom you've just been introduced to? And if he kisses you before he even knows your name, what do you tell his brother? With a less than ideal first impression, Truth finds herself prevaricating and feeling uncomfortable in the presence of Jackson. He on the other hand, realises that he has stepped badly out of line and does his best to ignore and put as much distance between Truth and himself. When Danny loses his life, both Truth and Jackson are devastated, but handle their grief differently, forcing Truth to put even more distance between them, taking on nursing assignment all over the US. When Truth receives a desperate phone call from Jackson, she returns to his hometown to take care of him, only to realise that the attraction between them is as electric as ever. Both of them are dealing with their guilt and both make mistakes. I personally found this romance to be somewhat earth, but it wasn't offensive in any way. Jackson is basically a good guy with a tender heart, as evidenced by his caring for Daisy, but he is so used to keeping people at a distance that he is his own worst enemy. Although it would appear that this book is part of a series, it is nevertheless a stand alone and both Truth and Jackson eventually come to their senses. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.

A little slow and then too fast

3.5 Stars This is book 3 in the Brides of Cedar Bend series and it features sexy Jackson Matoa and Truth Richards. It was fate. These two were meant to be together. She’s ready to move on...with him but he’s still so riddled with guilt for wanting his deceased brothers wife that he can’t move on. At first, the story line moved a little too slow, then it felt much too rushed at the end. I understand how the part of the story line with the “borrowed “ white wedding dress is supposed to fit in but it was so sudden and out of sync with everything else, that it didn’t really mesh with the rest.

    Love this series

Something Borrowed was a good 4 star read. This is part of the Cedar Bend Brides series. This is Truth and Jackson’s story. Truth and Jackson meet when he mistakes her as a groupie and gives her a heck of a kiss. Then he finds out that Truth is married to his brother Danny, oops. Although their moment was very steamy. When tragedy strikes Truth and Jackson’s world gets turned upside down. Jackson has a bad way of dealing with it and has become mean and bitter. When Truth gets a call she returns back to Cedar Bend where she see’s Jackson. It has been over a year that these two had any contact. Can these two help each other move forward? Can they have a HEA? I really enjoyed this story and I did have some teary eyed moments here and there. You could feel the chemistry between Truth and Jackson. This is a great story of hope, loss, love and moving forward after tragedy.Lena Hart does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Read by M.Austin

    Something Borrowed

I hadn't read any of the books in this series, but Jackson and Truth have such a unique relationship that this story drew me in and made me want to read more and more. When I started this book I had no clue that it was going to take the direction that it did, there were times that it really pulled at the heart strings, but Ms Hart makes sure that we have our happy ending so it works out well. I really enjoyed Something Borrowed and I hope to read more from this author in the future.
