High school can definitely be a witch

I fell in love with VOODOO! The history, mystery , romance and the way I was captivated. All of Rebecca's books are 5* plus. Be sure to check out her other books also. I can't wait for the next BOOK in atthe voodoo series! But at least while I'm waiting I'm reading the forever girls series and shadow born series!

    MAGICALLY SPELLBINDING

🔮Magically Spellbinding 🔮 ~ This Review is 100% SPOILER FREE < by MeShelly Ranalli-Simmers > Travel along on this witchy ride! Once again Rebecca Hamilton has pulled it off. I believe this is my favorite story of hers so far! Why you ask? Good question! Let's start with the perfect character description and phenomenal build up that will leave you guessing at every turn. This is not just another paranormal book about magic. This is a journey through the lives of many characters, and each one plays an imperative role. Emily, Noah, Heather, Hazel, Sarah and her "IT GIRLS" one or more has a dark secret they are carrying, but who and how many? ~ Meet Emily Bishop , the self proclaimed liar, labeled as a schizophrenic at a young age who is moved from town to town never making any friends. Not because she couldn't, but because she didn't want to. Why would a teenage girl want no friends? Does her past have anything to do with this? The girl with no friends, that is, until her Father moves her to Hackensack N.J half way through her senior year and she literally bumps into Noah. The very sexy male lead in this book. Was their "bumping into each other" actually an accident or did one of them plan it? What is up with their instant connection, is it all just a trick of the mind used by one so the other will come in handy when the time is needed? ~ Meet Heather, the not so popular girl willing to take Emily under her wing, show her the ropes around school and fill her in on all the high school gossip. Why is she willing to put up with Emily's obvious lies and tell her all the secrets of the "it girls"? Can she be trusted as Emily's first real friend, or does Heather have a motive of her own? Maybe it's the other way around and Emily is the one using her! ~ In comes Sarah and her clique of popular girls. Why is everyone afraid of them? Why does Sarah seem to hold a power over the entire school, including the teachers, and why does she go from Hot to Cold so fast when it comes to Emily? Is Sarah the one with the secret? ~ Good old Hazel, we can't forget about her. Why is she so willing to help Emily and Noah with their "problem" ? Is this problem really a problem for both of them or just one? ~ How does the death of Emily's mother play a role in all of this? Better yet, what in the world could possible connect these characters to the Salem Witch Trials? ~ This is one fast paced page turner that you will not want to put down. This story will have you guessing from the very beginning until after reading the last page because you will not only be left to wonder if it is really over, you will be screaming for more! ~ Will true love prevail, is Emily and Noah's connection real? If so will it be the death of everyone? If one is using the other in a warped mind game, who will come out on top? Can anyone in this story be trusted, or is everything just one giant illusion Rebecca forces us to witness by using something like voodoo? ~ If you take a look at my profile you will see many 5 star reviews, but not a whole lot of reviews. That is because I am a very hard sell on passing out 5 stars, and I don't tend to finish a book unless it is definitely worth reading. Trust me when I say, this is not only worth the read, but absolutely worth 5 mind boggling stars.

    Excellent

Another excellent read coming from Becca Hamilton´s pen. Emily´s special abilities might be considered both gift and a curse. Being haunted by her drawing trances all her life, she was running from one place to another. After her mother´s death, however, her life became even worse. Moving to Hackensack, she hoped for ordinary peaceful life... but she could not be more wrong. This book is a gem. Fast-paced, smoothly developing, action-packed, full of suspense, tension and cruelty. Well balanced with romance, tried and shattered several times, opposing the dangers from the outside, but still developing. And I sooo loved the characters. Emily is unlike any character I have ever read of, with her many vices and well-awareness of them, but using them anyway for an excuse of greater good. She is stubbornly following her goals, trying to protect those she loves, though not always successfully. Noah is the kind of protagonist you could not resist to feel for and pity him. He is kind and loving, but deeply in trouble, scarred more on the inside. And Sarah´s cruelty is infinite, creative and harming. They are all very believable and realistic, acting on their own opinions and motives. Overall, awesome and quick read I would recommend to any fantasy and PNR fan!

    Awesome!

This was a very gripping book. I didn't want to put it down. I love stories where the main character has to fight for themselves and their closest while learning who they are. I love stories about the Bishops. This was just awesome! I can't wait for more!

Mean Girls and The Craft had a baby

Something Like Voodoo is sure to be a hit! It tells the tale of a girl named Emily who has a unique ability to predict people’s deaths. She also has a horrible problem with stretching the truth due to a complicated and painful past. But when she meets gorgeous Noah and discovers his secrets, she becomes the “It” girls target. THIS is why I loved this novel. It was like Mean Girls and The Craft had a baby. I loved reading this novel and did it in less than a day. The characters were amazing, the story fast-paced, the plot superb! Hamilton nailed the YA genre. I look forward to reading more of her work!
