    Somewhere in Texas

This book is an interesting and engaging read, hard to put down. Delilah is on the run from an abusive husband. She had to find shelter during the storm and broke into a store /restaurant owned by Cam. Fortunately for her, he's a good man who senses that she needs help and offered her shelter and job... The book is totally enjoyable. "I received this book for free from eBook discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review ".

    Finding a place to rest

Finding a safe place to rest when on the run from an abusive relationship is difficult enough, but in the middle of a storm it becomes imperative. Delilah is fortunate that she hides in Cam’s store room as he immediately recognises just how precarious her situation is. Despite warnings from his brother and close friend, Cam goes out on a limb to create a safe haven for Delilah and begins the gentle process of earning her trust. The romance in this book built up slowly, and it is by no means boring. There is an underlying thread of suspense running throughout the story and a sense of menace hanging over Delilah as Cam diligently works at earning her trust. When the crisis comes, Delilah finds that those who least trusted her are the ones to stand up for her, and that she has come to care far more for the small town of Redfish and its people than she ever thought possible. I loved Cam’s gentle and protective stance towards Delilah as well as the way in which the community became a place she could call home. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.
