    Sonata for a Scoundrel

This had to be one of the best books I have read for a long time. It is about a female composer who must publish and represent herself behind her brothers name. It is definitely a sad fact that so many talented women were forced to hide their accomplishments behind a male facade to achieve recognition. The character of Clara is eventually recognized for her talent, which is somewhat unrealistic given the historical period, but the book was fiction hewever and the ending was extremely satisfying. I will definely be reading more by this author and I highly recommend this book.

I love music, social histoy and romance... The author delivers all with the skill of a seasoned storyteller. This is engaging escapism that won't let you down.

    Sonata for a Scoundrel

An interesting novel a mix of love and mystery. Hiding her brilliance must have been very hard for Clara, as all the acclaim fell on her brother, thank goodness times have changed

    A soul stirring musical novel

Right from the beginning, the stage is set. The anticipation slowly but surely builds until the end. The writer effectively blends in passion and drama in the novel without one overwhelming the other. A book to read. A book to keep..
