  • excellent dark urban fantasy series

I love box set because it helps us to read a series in order and with this one it helps us see the progression better. These books are a little dark ( sure sometimes more than a little) but it always balance with humour so it stay readable even for those not fond of horror like me. The books needs to read in order as they start where the last one left off so this box set is really a great deal. In Book 1 Soul Avenged :we focus on Ayden and Kane and we are introduced to the Wrath Brothers. The Wrath’ s sons are quite a gang: excessively handsome, proud and not lacking self esteem, important lords in their universe they are really adapt at what they do: take revenge, punish those who wronged their clients. However they are also quite picky on who can be one of their clients. Each one has a speciality or a special power for example, the older one Gavin has some power of premonitions but those visions are not complete nor are they coming on demand. I really enjoyed to see the relationship they had together and how their personalities differs. They give us some information on the demon’s world and while it can be really barbaric there is some honor and rules that can’t be broken without repercussions. They aren’t evil just terribly violent with their own moral code.. in Book two Soul Ressurected: we focus on Logan and Calla and we see the plot thicken, this book is a lot darker but it fit the story really well. We do see characters from book 1 like Ayden so it was agreable book 3 Soul Enslaved I loved Gavin from the beginning of the series he is so loyal and determined to protect his brothers i always loved that about him in this story we see even more how far he is willing to go for those he loves. I'm happy to see that Sabelle is quite the same so they are really good together even if i wanted to shake her from time to time for the way she in a sense refuse to be happy while doing all she can to be. There is a lot of action , and some bantering between the main characters it's funny to see them interact and of course there are some steamy, very steamy scene but exactly at the right moment in the story so that they are real part of it. Now as you know this series there are also some very dark moments, sad moments, tension ....but strangely for me it didn't sound as dark as the precedent one...strange will all what happen but really i wasn't left in angst, my heart did cry a little at part, but the story is so complete that the ambiance of the book seemed a little lighter ( and for me that's better) You will find Sabelle 's children too cute i'm sure and it's always great to see more of the brothers. In this book we do learn a bit more about the whole consequences possible and objectives of diverse group which plant the setting for the rest ( and that could be darker when we discover the players) but we are not left with an angsty cliffhanger so it was simply perfect and we did learn about new creature that without saying that the list of terms at the beginning of the book stay really handy. This is a series i fully plan to continue as the quality never wavers i received an Arc of this book and voluntary choose to review it

    Thanks for your feedback!
