  • A stunning paranormal romantic suspense read

Keva, a Native American woman with secrets, is revived unknowingly by Rife, a Native American FBI profiler, when he is consulting with his grandfather on a multiple sacrificial murder. As the story progresses secrets are harder to hide, beliefs are challenged, and a very old enemy makes a seemingly impossible appearance. Misty Evans weaves a tale of loss and mysticism in this stunning paranormal romantic read. I couldn’t put Soul Survivor down and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the reader in Soul Protector. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

  • Very well written with an interesting plot

An interesting read that was a bit slow to start but eventually had me totally caught up in all the lore and mystery surrounding Keva and Rife. One thing I know I’m always guaranteed when I open a Misty Evans book is that there will be a well-developed plot that unfolds over the course of the story. And although this one had me wondering at first just where this story was going, once the pieces started to fall into place and more of the mystery surrounding Keva was revealed, it was easy to get caught up in the story and enjoy all the magic, mystery, and lore that brought Keva and Rife to their long-awaited and well-deserved happy ever after. Even though this isn’t one of my favorite stories from the author, this is a very well-written book that delivers all the heart, action, and suspense I’ve come to expect from Misty Evans and has me looking forward to reading more stories set in this world.

  • Amazing

Soul Survivor, the first book in the Moon Water Paranormal series by Misty Evans, is a starkly intense, yet beautiful, novel of love and mystic. Our hearts break for Reva Moon Water, the last surviving member of her clan who lives with the agony of the belief that she was responsible for the destruction of her family. Special Agent Rife St. Clair is pulled into her world when his father includes him in the investigation of the murder of a group of women. A terrible sight even for an FBI profiler. One of the women turns out not to be dead even though he, his police chief father, and paramedics all determine that she has no heartbeat. No, she is not a vampire. He is both drawn to the woman and suspicious of her miraculous recovery and possible involvement in the murder. He never suspects that he will become the pawn in a battle between love and true evil. Misty Evans does a great job of creating a society of the past and blending it with the present. While time travel is not a major focus of the novel it does some into play and fits perfectly with the overall feel of the meshing of time
