  • Touched my Heart

Where do I even begin to convey how heartfelt and beautiful this story is! Ms Madison has outdone herself writing this heartwarming story. It was absolutely wonderful. The characters touched my heart in a big way and I even had tears a few times. Both Reed and Hazel left town 6 years ago. Reed to the military and Hazel for other reasons. These two have returned home, one injured and the other for a death in the family. The big secret Hazel has hidden is something Reed never expected. How will he react? Needless to say could this be the reason he stays home? These two just melted my heart, especially a certain someone. Emotions, close-knit families and support made this one incredible unputdownable book. Makes me want to find this town and move there!! Worth much more than 5 stars!

  • Saved The Best For Last! Excellent Ending

Natasha Madison stole my heart with Southern Sunshine (Southern #8). This small town, surprise baby and second chance romance is sweet perfection with so much love and heartwarming moments. I have all the love in the world for Reed and Hazel. Especially since Reed is my favorite of the second generation. His southern charm and good guy personality appeals to me. Reed and Hazel shared one night of passion just before Reed left for the military and Hazel never heard from him again. And when Hazel left for college, she took a part of Reed with her. Sophia, a sweet and adorable little angel was conceived that night and six years later, she and Hazel return to their hometown and Reed returns home from the military. I was so hopeful and really rooting for these two. Once they reunited, their chemistry and connection was undeniable and I was completely invested in their story. When you have great characters such as these two and with a well written storyline that builds in such an engaging way, it’s a real winner. Southern Sunshine is a lighter read compared to the other books in the series however, it’s still has some intense moments and is packed with emotions that tug at your heartstrings. And of course, Ms. Madison brings it when it comes to the sexy times because she’s awesome like that. Ms. Madison is the master of creating books with relatable and genuine family camaraderie and they give so much love and support to each other. It’s always a great asset to her storylines. Southern Sunshine is no different and this is what I enjoyed the most about this book as well as the series.

  • Reed and Hazel will melt your heart!

Natasha Madison has written another can’t-put-down-please-don’t-need-me-until-it’s-over romance. This story is moving, the characters are so passionate that your heart literally melts. Reed Barnes will show you exactly what you want in a book boyfriend. A second chance romance with an added bonus! A emotional, heartwarming story of two people who finally found themselves back home and back into each other’s lives. These two didn’t know what they were missing until they were together again. Reed Barnes didn’t know his passion until it was right in front of him. And what a beautiful story we get. I’m sad to see this series end but can’t wait for what’s next. I always know that Natasha Madison will bring her best every single book! Highly recommended.

  • 6"My Heart Will NEVER Be the Same" Stars!!!

This book!!! I am truly struggling with just how to put into words how Reed and Hazel's emotional love story sucker punched me! Added to that, this is the last book in the Southern Series, which brings a sense of sadness and nostalgia to it, as well. This is, without a doubt, my fave book in the series...Ms. Madison definitely saved the best for last!!! I'm telling you right here, right now, before you read this one you're gonna need to grab a box of tissues, a DO NOT DISTURB sign and copious amounts of your alcoholic beverage of choice! Reed and Hazel have grown up together in the small town where "secrets never stay hidden", always the best of friends, telling each other everything, talk about everything....well, everything except the attraction they are both fighting! Until just before Reed leaves to join the military and they share an EXPLOSIVE night of passion. Reed can't wait to leave town, he hates the expectations and comparisons to both his Father (Casey) and his older brother (Quinn) and feels like he can't compete and doesn't measure up, so this is his way of leaving his mark on the world! As for Hazel, she had every intention of leaving to go to college, but that fateful night with Reed completely changed her life, in the best way! Hazel, being the strongminded and determined young woman she is, makes the decision to keep her baby and with the help of her Pops, she goes to college and gets her degree. Neither Reed or Hazel ever want to go back to the town where they were raised...but fate has other ideas! When Reed is injured on a mission, he decides to head "home" for his rehab. Little does he know that his life will never be the same! At the same time, Hazel has come back to deal with the aftermath of her beloved Pops death with her now 6 year old daughter, Sofia (who, by the way is absolutely ADORABLE!!!)....and the inevitable happens! Oh my heart!!! The emotions, the gut-twisting emotions, Ms. Madison has a knack of producing are all here....and THEN some! Even though I would say this is a slow-burn romance, once the burn is set in motion....it's a 5 ALARM FIRE, CONSUMING EVERYTHING IN IT'S PATH!!! And the heartache? Even the angels were crying! But it was alllllll worth it in the end because the HEA is definitely NOT TO BE MISSED! I have loved each and every book in this UNFORGETTABLE series and I can't WAIT for the next one to start....I KNOW there are more secrets to unveil in the South... 6 "my heart will NEVER be the same" Stars for this one!

  • Thoroughly enjoyed this sweet romance!

This is my first Natasha Madison, and despite this being the eighth book in the series, I had no problem picking this up and following along. I thoroughly enjoyed this small town, second chance, secret baby romance! Reed can't wait to get out of town- he desperately wants to escape to somewhere else and never look back. Hazel is headed off to college in just two months, but on the night before Reed leaves town, they get together and Hazel is left alone to the consequences of that night. Both of them end up back in town at the same time, Hazel on the death of her beloved grandfather, and Reed while on leave from the military after an injury. While both are in town they come upon each other and Reed discovers what he had left behind years ago. I'm usually not a huge secret baby fan, but this is so well done that I loved it. This is such a sweet, heartfelt romance - I can't wait read the all previous books in the series! I received an Advance Reader Copy and have voluntarily left an honest review.
