  • 5 "Creepy, Spine-Chilling" Stars

Once again Kristen has delivered a read that's spine-chilling, blood-curdling and goosebump inducing from the evil lurking page after page of this captivating read. Be prepared...... once you start reading you won't be able to stop because it will intrigue you with the story, enchant you with the characters and seduce you with the love story that unfolds between Millie and Lucien. If you thought Shadows was creepy, menacing and shocking you haven't seen anything yet; in fact, you may not want to read this one in the dark (evil laughs)!

Milly's nightmares are back with a vengeance and soon she discovers that Lucien and her are destined to be together. The sparks are flying between these two! Soon it becomes clear that Lucien is the focus this time but not on Milly's watch is she has her say. Banding together they need to once again beat back the darkness! Wow so so good!! The ending!! • Bayou Magic

A perfectly haunting page turner just in time for Halloween! When a centuries old evil makes an unexpected & gory reappearance in New Orleans, it will take all the mystical resources the Landry sisters & their loves can summon to defeat it. A horrifyingly depraved killer and a thousand year old love story set the tone for this scary yet romantic paranormal tale.

  • This Book Will Cast A Spell On You

Kristen Proby proved in SHADOWS (Bayou Magic, #1) that she can more than handle herself with the genre jump from contemporary romance to paranormal. SPELLS once again shows her ability to bring in the creep factor, while losing none of the romance, writing a book that is the perfect next step in this series. The Landry sisters of New Orleans have known that they have "gifts" for as long as they can remember, but only Millie has embraced hers wholeheartedly. A hedgewitch who is happiest mixing up concoctions in her shop and hanging out with her sisters, Millie is an unabashed practitioner of the craft, having spent most of her life learning about her abilities and how to use them. Lucien and Millie have known each other for a long time...a very, very long time, and even though she takes her time admitting it, some things, like a love that spans the ages, are meant to be. Once Millie lets down her guard and lets Lucien in, the knowledge that they are truly a power couple becomes clear, and they will need each other, plus the power of those closest to them, to bring down an evil that they believed they'd already defeated. There are plenty of twists and turns, grisly bits, and lovely ones, too, and all are blended perfectly into a story that had me on the edge of my seat. The best part is that there is more to come for the sisters and the men that love them, although I'm a little bit grumbly that it'll take a year to get there. In the meantime, SPELLS is the perfect spooky read, so lock the doors, turn on some lights, and enjoy. 🎃

  • 4.5 ‘Our Souls Are Linked

4.5 ‘Our Souls Are Linked Awwww… Who knew a PNR read could make my romantic heart soar to such heights?! SPELLS indeed bewitched me with the best of my favorite trope, fated soulmates, in a way I soaked it up in one sitting. Millie and Lucien – omg, THE best book boyfriend, right here – enchanted me in a way, that even through the suspense and masterfully written creepy moments, I had a warm happy feeling in my heart! Loved it! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
