Great start to a new series

What a great first book in a new series, The Blackhawk Boys, from one of my top go to authors. She is one of the authors that I always one click or preorder, no questions asked. Spinning Out is a love triangle...well more than a triangle filled with angst, tragedy, mystery, a great plot, love and well developed enjoyable characters. Arrow Woodison had all the material things he could have wanted in life. He had all the benefits of being a child of a wealthy family. He also had a lot of the things that an only child, well an only child until recently, lacks. When he meets meets Mia Mendez he feels like voids have been filled and that she is a balm to his soul and fire on his skin. Mia falls in love with Brogan. He is the "easy choice" since her family has a history with Arrow's family. But does her heart know the truth of whom it really wants? Brogan loves her, but is insecure. Arrow loves her, but doesn't want to step on his best friend Brogan's toes. Until he does me care and does. Maybe not without his own justification. Does he approve of all things Brogan chooses regarding Mia. Not.Even.A.Little! One night filled with bad choices makes all of their lives spin out of control. Through it all there is love buried under grief and guilt. Can it be found through the murky lies and secrets shrouding the truth? While Mia is forced to work for Arrow's dad and stepmother as a nanny to his infant sister Arrow and Mia are forced together since Arrow is under house arrest. Will their chemistry fizzle or sizzle? Mia needs her job with the Woodison family to support herself and her drunken father. She still doesn't trust heart pumping love since her mother's abandonment. Can she open herself up to living again and not merely existing? Can she trust love after shattering loss? All of the Blackhawk Boys are endearing and hot. I am excited to read more about them in their own books. I am so excited to read the rest of the books in The Blackhawk Boys series!

    Love this book!

WOW! Spinning Out by Lexi Ryan was heartbreakingly amazing. There are so many emotions throughout this book. When Arrow returns home for his house arrest, to say things are tense is an understatement. He is on house arrest because he spiraled out of control after the accident. Mia, the girl he is in love with who he can’t have, happens to be working for his dad as both a nanny and house keeper so he is now forced to see her and her room is right next to his. Since the accident Mia is not living, she is only moving on autopilot. Arrow has a secret that he has been keeping and it is the reason he went off the deep end. The chemistry between these two is incredible, even their friends can see it, but do they even have a chance, and when the secret comes out will it ruin everything and everyone… Lexi Ryan has done it again, and I cannot wait for Chris’ and Sebastian’s books!

Three lives, two loves and one nightmare

A Review of Spinning Out: The Blackhawk Boys, Book 1 by Lexi Ryan Three lives, two loves and one nightmare - 5+++ stars This story surrounds a set of university football players, a girl from the wrong side of tracks and a love that keeps pulling them together regardless of how much they each hurt each other and themselves. Arrow has it all - a football career that has been his lifelong dream and the money to make his life easy. Brogan, his best friend from childhood has little money and self esteem issues. Mia is from a dirt poor, broken family with an alcoholic father and a brother that served time in prison for drugs - but she is smart and determined to make her life better. She goes to a community college, but has hopes to transfer to the university where her best friend is. When she leaves a note for her best friend, she starts getting texts from a guy that lives in the same dorm. When she finally meets Arrow, she assumes that he is the guy she has been texting with and they have an instant connection with each other. However, when Brogan sees her, she finds out that he is the one she was texting with and she ends up choosing him over Arrow, due in part to Arrow's last name. When tragedy strikes, everything changes for all three of these characters. What really happened that night? Who was at fault and how will this story end when the truth (or supposed truths) come out? This was a heartbreaking story, full of love, pain, lust and destructive behavior. You don't want to miss this story. ********** **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**
