This is a new author to me. I must admit that the story was slow moving at first and I’m not a fan of the first-person narrative style of writing. This is a complex story of family dynamics, healing, forgiveness, following one’s dreams, and finding home. Drew has sought his father’s approval his entire life and never seems to come close to achieving that goal. Maria is trying to keep the family coffee shop going, but it’s not her true passion. Both Drew and Maria have trust and self-worth issues. They meet in the small Georgia town of Pigeon Grove, where Maria lives. Drew was just passing through, but something about the town draws him back. Can Drew and Maria overcome their issues and find true love? I was given an advance copy of this book. This review is my honest opinion.

    Thanks for your feedback!
