    Thanks for your feedback!

This is not my favorite Kearsley book. I think her love for and infatuation with the town of Chinon overwhelmed the story. A place can be an important and even vital character in a story but her descriptions of this (real) town were too much/too often/too detailed for me and slowed the story down considerably. I was also disappointed by the historical/ ghostly portion of the novel. This is usually Kearsley's storytelling strength but in this book it felt tacked on and only barely fleshed out.
