  • State of Terror

Amazing....a page turner as well as insightful. Probably the best novel that I have read this year...and I am an avid reader. I have read all Louise Penny’s Gamauche books and always impatiently await the next one, however, I am confused as to why that series was introduced into this book! Perhaps this is the beginning of a new series? Keep collaborating Ladies! Herdis Grundsoe

  • Waiting for A Return

Exactly what I expected from two authors of such style and experience. Strongly defined characters, realistic settings and a plot that keeps developing to a climax. Multi layers of societal messaging for your own consideration. Exciting and educating at the same time! Much enjoyed! Hope they collaborate again soon! A formidable team!

  • A frightening political thriller

"State of Terror" deals with some very frightening scenarios related to relatively recent events in the United States. Set in early 2021, the protagonist, Ellen Adams, is Secretary of State in the administration of the newly elected US President. After three bombs explode in three European cities, Ellen goes on a mission, traveling to several international destinations, to discover who was responsible for these bombings. When information is revealed indicating that three nuclear bombs have been planted in three US cities, various American forces become involved in the hunt for the perpetrators and the bombs. Fictionalizing actual events and individuals in the United States, the authors have created a thriller which will keep the readers' attention from beginning to end.

  • State of Terror

These two ladies should write their 2nd novel. This a great read. The characters are so believable, the time so current, the goosebumps I got that caused me to continue reading far into the night. You will feel like you personally know Ellen Adams, the Secretary of State, and go with her to the scary end. Betsy will be your best friend too.

  • Thrilling read

This is a romp through political intrigue of the highest order. The heroine is smart and shrewd and undaunting in a man’s world. I enjoyed everything, save for dressing the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs in moose and bear covered pyjamas (so cliché!) or a Canadian talking about pudding or pud which is the British term for desserts but is never used in Canada. Still, worth the read, in line with the best of Grisham, Patterson, etc!
