  • Sweet, sweet, sweet!

Wow, this story was so super sweet and with low angst that it was almost a little too perfect. I love a plot where the main characters know each other for a long time and become first from enemies to friends and then latter to lovers. I always makes me feel good to read such a warm and loving story. I really liked being in Eric's head. He's a really good lawyer who knows what he's doing and I was so glad there were no mean jokes about his profession. He's been in love with Ann for years but never really got the chance to confess his feelings. And when the perfect opportuniti arises, where Ann has no choice but to take his deal, he knows he'll do whatever it takes to win her heart. Of course that's easier said than done. He does make some mistakes along the way but thankfully it all plays well at the end. As for Ann, she's been burned and let down by men that she put her trust into one too many times. So, it's no wonder that she is now very wary of Eric and is wondering what his true intentions behind the deal may be. I'm glad that Eric slowly but surely managed to crack her walls and made her give him a chance. They are a great couple and I liked seeing them together, especally when Ann came up with her ideas to help transform him from a nerd to a bad boy. Now, the reason for my 3 stars is that the story was great but not as great as it could have been. I just feel like there was not enough depth and also some scenes where the author wanted to come across as funny in reality simply weren't that funny. Also, Anns case was solved way too smoothly. Maybe it's just me, but that bothered me. Also, beware: THERE ARE NO SEX SCENES! All in all, this book is for you, if you want a quick, low angs and with no real drama read. :)

  • Stealing the Bachelor

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I have also purchased a copy. This is the third book of the series. While it is a part of the series, you don't have to read them to fully understand and enjoy this book. The prior couples do make multiple appearances (as the three female protagonists in the series are sisters) I enjoyed the dual POV format that the book is written in. I really helped me to better connect with the characters. Ann Snyder is in MAJOR trouble. She hired someone that she thought was really helping her with her business but instead he stole from her and used her business to steal from others. She goes to her high school nemesis, Eric Maxwell. Eric is an attorney so he will know what to do. Ann doesn't like Eric because of a long misunderstand since high school days. Eric has had a crush on Ann since he met her. These two strike sparks off of each other but there are some hurdles to get through first. Can Eric prevent Ann from going to prison for something that she didn't do? Can the real culprit be located and brought to justice? Will a long-standing mix-up be cleared up? Well you will have to real this story to find out. There are some kissing scenes here. The sexy stuff was just a fade to black so no explicit scenes here in case you don't like that sort of thing. I really enjoyed this story and I will have to go back and read the prior stories of the sisters as they seem like they will be charming as well.
