  • Great second book

Another good read just as good as the first book in the series

  • Awesome!

I really enjoyed it. I was enthralled with the first book. First time I'm reading about fairy world in a not fairy way. I like the way she made them so real instead of fantastical creatures brought on by mere imagination. She gave them and origin. Well done Howard. This is the first time I'll be writing a review for ANY book. Shows how much I loved it. Couldn't read the second though. Didn't have the money to buy it. Keep up the good work!

  • Not as strong as the first book.

I found myself liking THE FORGOTTEN ONES when I came across it, but I have to say I was a little disappointed with the sequel. There were some good twists and new characters that I liked, but for the most part, I felt the story moved way too quickly. Which was odd, considering that not very much actually happened. Alison's reconciliation with Ethan seemed to happen in the blink of an eye, and I didn't feel there were any real challenges after that until the end. The final "battle" happened so quickly, I had to re-read a couple paragraphs to make sure I didn't miss anything. All in all, it was a weird combination, and I think the book suffered from "set-up-syndrome", working to clear the path for the grande finale. Still, I enjoyed it and am curious to see how everything turns out.

    Thanks for your feedback!
