    A fascinating journey

The author provided a copy of the ePub in exchange for an honest review. Living in 19th Century London, Lilly Linton does not fit in as she is a feminist in the truest sense of the word. Her aunt is determined to marry her off to a stately gentleman. Lilly is not eager to get married. Lilly cleverly gets a job as a secretary to a wealthy entrepreneur—Mr. Rikkard Ambrose. She is not Miss or Ms Lilly Linton at the office but is referred to as Mr. Linton. Storm and Silence is a lengthy novel but moves at a rapid pace. Lilly speaks for so many women. She is truly comfortable in her own skin and is determined to live her authentic life at any cost. Her determination drives this original page-turner. Rikkard wants to walk away from this situation but she does not allow him to walk away. He has never met any like her/him. Does he respect her, understand her, like her? The chemistry between Lilly and Rikkard is unstoppable. The dialogue between Lilly and Rikkard is refreshing as it is often layered with humour. Their dangerous adventure is detailed and feels like a roller coaster ride gone out of control. Lilly and Rikkard’s journey is far from over. Looking forward to Robert Thier’s next instalment in the Storm and Silence series.

    "Spiffing"

Where do I start? This book takes you on a journey through the pages. I read it on wattpad and I bought it so Sir Rob can be rewarded (even in the miniscule way - the book was like, $6) for the masterpiece he was created. It is such an amazing story. Equiped with riveting moments and enough plot twists to keep your interest sharp. The book draws you in and captures you. I love it with all my heart. Anyone thinking of purchasing this, do it. I promise you won't regret it. But a word of warning, the emotional rollercoaster this book will take you on, is that of "The Notebook".

    Excellent Read!!

I hesitated to read this novel thinking it was just another one of those 'love stories'. Boy was I wrong. The characters are refreshing, the dialogue humorous. The author tells a believable tale that you won't want to put down. Lilly has become my heroine and Rob Their one of my favorite authors. Don't hesitate - read the book - it's a satisfying read that will leave you wanting to know more about Mr. Ambrose and Lilly and their adventures to come.
