Edge of your seat suspense from beginning to end! Ty Remington is still trying to find his place on the PEAK Rescue Team. He’s still not back to flying the chopper so he buries himself in trying to rescue every single person that possibly can. Brette Arnold is struggling to just live one day at a time. Once so vibrant, the events of the last year have nearly taken everything from her - including her very life. She buries herself in working with the Vortex Storm Chasers as a photographer. It’s the perfect gig for someone running from the storms in their own personal life. It would be just like God to work through insurmountable circumstances such as a devastating tornado in the middle of another state to bring their paths together. What happens next is a story similar to all the elements of a tornado - violent winds blowing & stirring everybody and everything as in a mixmaster and turning them and their emotions inside out; rain and hail beating down as these characters feel as though they are getting beaten down whenever they try to make a rescue whether it’s a physical rescue or a rescue of the heart; trees & other heavy debris blocking their escape as they feel trapped in their circumstances, life choices and situations beyond their control. Overall there is the beautiful truth of God’s protection and providence in and through ALL THINGS. I was provided an ARC of this book by the Publisher and NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.

This book has a good Christian message and plenty of action - the only problem for me was all the unnecessary angst with the continuing melodrama of Ben and Kacey. Enough already from the first and weakest book of this series. Maybe the author should have made this a separate novella instead of messing up Brette and Ty's story for so many chapters. Susan May Warren writes wonderful action adventure and Pete and Jess's story looks likely to be terrific - as long as she steers clear of the melodrama.
