    Needs Editing

Tbis book would benefit from some good editing for content as well as spelling and grammar, particularly as concerns verb tenses. My guess is that it was self-published without review by a professional editor. The memoir section of the book, which comprises the bulk of it, reads like a summary. The reader hears about the daily showers and frequent boiling of water for tea, for instance. There seems to be more of this sort of thing than description of the countryside through which the author walked. There are attempts at philosophical musings and humour, but tbey come across as forced. Perhaps if the structure weren't based on a list of what happened each day, tbey would fit better. On the plus side, the author's sharing of the miseries of wet feet and encounters with dogs provided something for future travelers to keep in mind.
