  • ...cryptic suspense and breath catching reveals.

Just like me to come in on the tail end of a series. Summer Rain has a touch of mystical mystery blended with a hint of romance. I received an ARC of Summer Rain in exchange for an honest review. The high stakes world of Washington D.C. is a great location for a story about corruption, murder and secrets. Dani lands herself right in the center of a paradox. Secret agendas. mysterious deaths and attempted murders follow Patrick and Dani in their quest for long awaited answers. Barbara Freethy has an intriguing mind. Her stories are the perfect playground for adrenaline junkies who thrive on cryptic suspense and breath catching reveals. 3.5 stars

  • Fantastic read!

I received an ARC for my review. I really enjoyed Summer Rain! It kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and I couldn't put this book down. It seemed like something big was right around the corner every time I turned the page. The ending was satisfying and I'm excited for the new series featuring the FBI Agent Damon Wolfe. I definitely recommend this book, it was a great read!

  • Another great read!

Third and final installment in this series and it was as good as it can get. Dani and Patrick's story had it all, mystery, romance, suspense. Once you start you will not be able to stop. You want to find out what is going on so its a page turner. This book gave me everything you want in a book. Had me going hmmmm, what and WOW. I couldn't put it down. You can read this as a standalone book, but I suggest you get them all and read from the beginning. Love how the characters from book one and two are mentioned, but they are kept in the background so not to take away from the main characters. Looking forward to Barbara's next book, as always she didn't disappoint. Buy it now, you will not be sorry!!!

  • Suspenseful and Entertaining

Danielle Monroe takes a job in DC but was not as consumed with investigating her father's death as were her sister Alicia and brother Jake. Patrick Kane has a similar tragedy in his past that leads to questioning the Senator that Dani is working for. As an investigative writer, Patrick is following leads as they fight their attraction for each other. Dani and Patrick are a dynamic team that spark ideas from each other. They continue to investigate the two plane crashes and begin asking pointed questions that lead them into some dangerous situations. The mystery unravels and the suspense builds throughout this book, bringing a satisfying conclusion to this three book series. I can always count on Ms. Freethy to tell a fascinating romantic suspense that keeps me interested and entertained.

  • Action Packed!

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed it. Eagerly anticipated every spare second to continue reading. Lots of action and intrigue and I liked the main characters Dani and Patrick, who were believable. The story took us into seas and skies, the world of politics, ancient mysticism, modern technology, crooked contractors and a host of interesting characters. The romance part of the story was well done. The book is great on it's own, but is a perfect end to the trilogy.
