  • Interesting look at surviving trauma

I read this book with great interest. The first couple and final two stories were relevant, but the ones in the middle of more historic folks felt like the authors couldn’t find any examples in modern history to use. And whilst the book was interesting, it was very academic- it gave you the concept, but not the how - which is what trauma survivors need. Plus each of the examples have one specific trauma not many - and there were no examples about surpersurvivors after sexual assault or child abuse - which is one of the most common causes of trauma by the book’s own admission.

    Thanks for your feedback!
